This past weekend I hunted the pearl and all I could do was shake my head! Hunters on top of hunters!
It sounded like world war 3 out there but what were they shooting? I took out my binoculars and noticed several groups of hunters shooting/sky blasting at anything that flew! Seagulls, Hawks,... You name it!
Duck hunting is definitely not what it used to be! I am about to the point of just deer hunting because I am tired of throwing my hard earned money down the drain every weekend. These new generation, 'Duck Dynasty' duck hunters have no respect for anything!

Staying in Grand Isle Friday and Saturday night and I am looking for some spots I can take my little boy fishing for his first time in salt water to catch some fish. We will be in a 12' flat bottom with a trolling motor. Plan on launching boat on side of the road or wherever anyone recommends. I have only fished this area in a bay boat and never close to land inshore

Going fishing this Friday out of Fourchon/Grand isle and i'm looking to catch some A.J., K.M., Cobia, Grooper, or Snapper. Any advice on where I could snag a few?

You could be right. I thought I read somewhere that they were going to open some federal waters this weekend but I could be wrong. If so, that ruins my weekend fishing trip I was getting my hopes up for. Any other advice on where to catch something other than specs? I have a freezer full of them. I caught out of Fourchon one trip and Buras previous.
