Looking for a 10-12 flat bottom boat to pull/push in a crawfish pond to frog and be able to take kids along with and cary the battery and frog box. Does not need to be in good shape, just float. If you have one laid up in a barn/yard that you know you'll never use and would like to get off your hands, email me. Looking to pay between 100-150.

I would like to thank Mrs. Jo Anna with "Trailer Kings" for the very good service she provided me in fixing problems with my boat trailer. I live on the West coast of La. and her business is on the East coast. Since I work in the East coastal area she agreed to have someone meet me there and pick up my rig and have it fixed and returned before my hitch was up. This saved me the problem of having to find her business (which I would have gotten lost 10 times) and also saved me lost fishing time because it was being repaired while I was working and not stuck home without a boat. Thanks again Mrs. Jo Anna.

Will be off of work from 2-11-09 thru 2-17-09. Have the OK from 5 different landowners to rabbit hunt their property. All I need is some beagles. Anyone with access to a pack of hounds and will be off in that time period let me know. Will be hunting in Acadia parish south of Iota. When I was young, a couple of the propertys we would kill 40-50 rabbits behind the dogs.

I have been deer hunting since opening weekend and have not killed a deer, bring my wife to the lease and she kills her first deer the first time she is on stand. The girl was with her and the boys were with me, they were both shaking when I went and picked them up 15 min after the shot. I would let them all take my deer if the chance came, they are all hooked on hunting.......wingmaster.

I know the limint on Big Lake was knocked down to 15 a man a couple of years ago, my question is if you fish the jetties or go a little ways offshore and dock at the public landing at the jetties is it still 15?????

Tried crickets, shiners and worms all day long and picked up the little mess all on worms. Water was high and clear. Tried different laydowns for sac-a-lait but didn't catch a one. Was fishing with a buddy and his wife.

Well, it didn't work. I had replied to Tony Taylors last post and it dropped me all the way to the bottom. Not sure if this can even work, but if a computer guru could fix it like that it would be helpful...This is actually one way it works on Facebook

A comment titled: Re: New Forum in response to a report titled: New Forum

I feel the new format will be fine once people get used to how it operates, it's like everything else in today's world, if you throw a kink in someone's line it gets them all tangled up. This is my first time posting to the new format so not sure if this will work or not but all posts have 'reply' in the bottom right corner. If I reply to that post, it should have like a drop down 'replying' to that particular comment. If it works like that already, then my bad...

A comment titled: Leave youth hunts as is in response to a report titled: Request for Comment on Proposed Duck Season Dates

I believe the youth hunt should not be between splits because the ducks are already decoy and call shy, keep it ahead of the first split. Actually there ought to be a youth weekend for the Sept teal split also. If we go the Saturday morning and the see all kinds of ducks, they will naturally want to go the next morning. If we go the Saturday morning and nothing is produced, you can bet a kid is not going to want to get up early the next morning for nothing. I have a 5 & 7 year old and 95% of their shots are going to be on the water, putting the youth weekend between splits leaves them with little chance for making kill shots. Being older I understand it's not all about the kill, but when you are young it is. Temperatures are also an issue when young kids are involved.

A comment titled: Try this in response to a report titled: Some old duck hunter might remember this

Never read the article, but this is how we have made blinds to hunt temporary spots. Stretch out a length of hog wire to the size you would need for the people in your hunting party. Take the weed, grass, straw or brantches in your hunting area and weave it through the slots to where it is tight enough you can not see through. Stand it up and wrap it around your party to make your hunt and when you are through and plan to move to another location, roll it up and take it with you

A comment titled: Seafood or meat in response to a report titled: Lent

I personally beleive it is more of a penance in God's eyes to sit at a table and eat a ham sandwich or peices of chicken while everyone else is eating crawfish, shrimp, crabs or fried fish. If the Pope said Catholics were to go ahead and eat meat but give up seafood during Lent all the Catholics in La would have a fit because it is prime time crawfish season.
