Boy what a great opening day yesterday was. Best one in 5 years. The ducks were everywhere, and the flocks were larger than I have seen in a long time. after the hunt, me, a hunting buddy, and my 14 y/o son broke out our fishing poles and got some great reds, specks, and flounder. Fins and feathers on opening day!!! Not bad considering that 3 weeks ago I thought that this season would be a total wash.

BACKSTRAP525, sorry but these breasted beauties are going into someone elses pot. I donate my opening day ducks to my uncle who can't hunt anymore due to back problems, but who introduced me to the world of hunting when I was a boy.

I would like to launch out of Yellow Cotton Marina but I have no idea where on hwy. 23 it is. If anyone has info such as directions from New Orleans or a phone number to the marina I would be very greatful. Thanks

I breasted the birds and got them ready for the freezer; however, my uncle loves to eat wild ducks so they probably won't make it that far.

Thank God I didn't read this list when I was still a bachelor. Of course, if I had read it back then, I'd have alot more time and alot more money now.

I'm afraid that isn't an alligator; just a twisted piece of aluminum.
