Was met by a strong east wind in Venice Sunday morning, so what to do- run west. That's the beauty of Venice. Popped out red pass to muddy water but ran up in the protected marsh behind sandy point and found relatively clean water moving around structure, dropped the Powerpole and game on. Not fast and furious but a limit of 16-20' slot reds in under an hour. Not a bad trip for the conditions.
Should I shoot????
Just pulled the SD card for the first time this year. Lots of young deer. No real shooters yet. Camera is in new location now.
Took my mother, wife and kids to the Pointe and put together a nice box. 75 trout total -mixed whites and specks. All but one caught at our first stop. Everyone had a blast!
Went to the Pointe today with a friend and my 9 year old who is on spring break(Mississippi school). We arrived at Bechel's around 8.30 to find a light wind but muddy water everywhere. By 11.30 we had boated only 1 fish,a red. We moved one last time and it was on. Caught our limit + numerous throwbacks. Watching my son was priceless. A great trip! Now waiting on the trout to turn on.
Looking at a used 22ft Baystealth center console. Any thing I should be wary of?? Any comments would be appreciated..
