Hello everyone, I called the bow shop in New Orleans yesterday to order the New Z7 Xtreme and told the guy what I wanted him to rig the bow out with. He asked me if I wanted new arrows and I told him no because I was going to use the Easton ST Epics 400 that I bought last year I was shooting out of my Switchback 29' at 70#. He told me that I can't shoot these arrows through the bow because they were too light and not enough spine, but they shot great through my Switchback. The bow I ordered will be set up at 28.5' draw length at 70# draw weight. Could anyone confirm that these arrows are too light or is he just trying to get me to buy the $150 dozen of Carbon Xpress arrows. I am not against buying them, just wanted to hear some other expert opinions. I have bought my last 2 Mathews from him, so I really don't think he is trying to sell me something I don't need. The bow rigged out right now is costing me almost $1400, and I was just trying to save on arrows if I didn't need new ones beings I just bought some last year.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Cabelas in Gonzales has 2 and 3 Blade Rage in stock. I was there last night.

Anyone know if they will allow feeding in Mississippi? Our club is real strict on feeding, but all the clubs around us are doing it anyway. I have killed several deer in the past that were just full of corn. I have heard so many different stories weather or not they will allow it this year. I know it is an on going subject, but was wondering if anyone heard the latest?

I've had some good experiences with Bushnell, actually I just sent a 5 year old camera back not even under warranty because it had a run away trigger meaning it would take a picture every 5 seconds regardless if anything was there or not. They sent me a brand new one of their newest camera of equal value for free. $250 value for a camera I had that wasn't even under warranty.

I'm not 100%, but I think a youth has to be with a licensed hunter if he never took the hunter safety course.

Hunt R I totally disagree on your comments about 1-1/2 year olds are no bigger than spikes, 2-1/2 no bigger than a 6pt, and 3-1/2 no bigger than 100pts????? Maybe not points, but inches yes. I may not have jawbones to prove to you, but I totally disagree with you on all 3 even though you have aged thousands of deer all over La.

I pay alot of attention to Lunar Charts, and best feeding times....much success... Deer do not always move early in the morning or last hour of daylight.

A comment titled: Awesome in response to a report titled: 4 Year Old Girl Kills 8pt

That is awesome that she killed one, but what caliber gun did she shoot it with or did dad hold the gun and she pulled the trigger. I have a 5 year old son that is begging to kill one but can't find a gun small enough for him to shoot it himself. When he kills his first he will do it all by himself. I have a youth model 243 for him and that is still too big for him and he is a big kid. I have been letting him practice with my ruger 1022 just to get the concept of aiming and hitting the target so that when I feel he can do it all by himself I will put the .243 in his hands. Maybe next year...

Congrats Abbey

A comment titled: 444 in response to a report titled: GUN SELECTION?

The 444 is flatter shooting, almost the same size bullet, and kicks a little less than the 4570, so tell me why he should get the 4570 over the 444????

Are they still biting in the Blue Bird Canal? I went about 3 weeks ago and caught around 150, but only about 35-40 keepers.

A comment titled: Rage, Rage, Rage - (2 or 3 blade) in response to a report titled: Broadheads

I mostly bow hunt throughout the year, and was always a Muzzy man, and still a Muzzy man. I just have always had problems getting them to shoot right and trying to pair up a certain broadhead with a certain arrow with a tuned bow and tuned arrows. It was frustrating worrying about it every year. As far as penetration, the Muzzy and Thunderheads are excellent.
I decided to try the Rage 2 blade this year after seeing what they do, reading about them, and getting aggrevated with trying to get the Muzzy's to fly like field tips. I do not regret it at all, I never seen entry and exit holes like that with my Muzzys, and the blood trails were incredible. All were direct pass throughs, so penetration was there all so. Now when I go to stand I know I will hit the spot I am aiming for because they fly just like field points. I will definitely cont. to use them!!!

A comment titled: Great deer in response to a report titled: Here it is

That is a nice public land monster, but I also can't see it scoring 154". 8 points are hard to score over 140, and please don't take it the wrong way because that is a very nice deer that I would have loved to have.

A comment titled: Rage 2 Blade in response to a report titled: OUTRAGEOUS ENTRY

I tell you I shot a doe with a rage 2 blade 2 weeks ago, and I was totally impressed. She ran 40 yards and as she was running the blood was shooting every where. I never had a trail like that with any broadhead. I was a firm believer in Muzzy, and still am but I couldn't get them to group all that well so I decided to try the Rage. I was not disappointed at all.

A comment titled: Rage 2 Blade in response to a report titled: Primos Blood hunter light review

There are plenty of sites on the internet that still have the rage 2 blades. I just ordered 6 of them last Thursday. Cabelas, Bass Pro, Academy, and all of those places are out of them and on back order. Go to google and type in Rage Broadheads and you will find some stores that still have them.

I own a Ruger 1022, and it is an accurate little gun. We have shooting competitions at our camp for fun, and it is hard to beat it. We have about 7-8 guys that went buy them after they shot it.

It has nothing to do with a woman, but you guys are blowing the SG way out of the water. I also have a SG, it is a great camera and I would recommended it to anyone, but I also have a Cudde Back which I would brag about also. You can't expect everyone to spit out $400 for a game camera. Not everyone is like us. (Hunting Freaks) There are cheaper cameras out there that put out good quality pictures, which could be recommended. The impression that I get from you guys is that if you don't buy a SG you are wasting your money. That is not true. Lets think about it, the camera are picture does not make the deer taste better or guarentee you will kill that deer that you caught on camera. Some people just want to buy a low cost camera to see what's out there, thats all. Please do not take this personal, I just want people to know that not all the cameras out there are junk.

A comment titled: Swamp Ghost Freaks in response to a report titled: trail camera purchase

I am not going to Knock the SG, but you guys rather sleep with a SG vs a woman. It's not the only good camera on the market. There are a bunch of junk camera's out there, but SG is not the only good one so get over it. You guys talk about the service is great, why do you need service soooo much if the camera is so great? Why would I buy a swamp ghost to take on vacation with me? It is a game camera not a vacation camera. Everyone and his brother has a regular digital camera. Like I said don't take it personal, but there are alot of good and bad cameras out there.
