A comment titled: wait in response to a report titled: season so far

hey man if you're running deer off in the mornings, wait til daylight starts breaking and you can just barely start to see and walk very slow and quietly to your stand, you might catch him feeding a lil too late and get a shot.

A comment titled: Blackout in response to a report titled: GAME CAMERAS

not sure about the Cuddeback but all other IR game cameras i have seen have a red glow (not really a flash) when taking pictures at night... I have a Primo's blackout and it does not have the red glow that other IR cameras have.

A comment titled: YES THEY DO! in response to a report titled: GAME CAMERAS

Infrared cameras DO have a red flash! However Primos and Moultrie have come out with a blackout version of the infrared camera and have no flash at all.

its only required during the DEER open gun season... no need to wear orange while you're squirrel hunting during bow season... if you get shot with a bow by another hunter it's not an accident, it's murder.

A comment titled: Not an expert either but in response to a report titled: Pineywoods shooter

on our lease we shoot 14inch inside spread or bigger, and just about every one of them is an 8pt and kill 15-20 bucks per year. We have to save our jawbones and turn them in to a biologist at the end of the season and 90% of them are 3.5 year old deer. I have no idea of aging deer just by looking at them or their jawbones, im just going by what our biologist is telling us.

I honestly would not go... unless i was tagged out on my lease or the season was closed where i hunt. i wouldnt go even if it wasnt fenced in, i want to kill the deer on my lease that i put time and effort in trying to kill. if i left to go hunt somewhere else, the only thing that would be on my mind is wondering if somebody else on our lease killed the deer i was after. i dont want to shoot a deer that somebody else has scouted and have somebody place me where i need to be to shoot him. i get offered all the time by friends to go hunting with who have wayyy better hunting land and kill much bigger deer than i do, but i never go. there's way more to it than just shooting the deer that makes hunting great. i understand some people see differently so theres no point in even arguing about it, but thats not the point im trying to make. all im trying to say is that fences should not be allowed and deer should be left to breed naturally and roam freely.

you're right choupiq... i think its a disgrace to hunting, but i guess some ppl see differently, we weren't all brought up the same... not many things bother me but this is something that does... i understand its not about food any more and if we dont kill a deer we're def not going to starve, i just hate to see traditional ways coming to an end

What exactly is a trash deer??? is it a deer that you cannot eat?? deer herds can be managed without a fence. people put up these fences and ship in these retarded lookin unnatural deer from a farm with rockin chairs on top their head and release them into their pen... i dont understand how somebody can get a kick out of killing a huge deer when every deer inside of their fence is huge, then they want to brag about it thinking they did something heroic.

about the public land- the people that are doing this have enough money to buy or lease their own property so their is no need for them to hunt on public land, therefore, the sissies should be safe in their heated mansion of a box stand and not be bothered by the 'crazy coonasses with 2 guns each in every tree.' btw those coonasses forgot more about hunting than people like this will ever know about it, so they're not the ones to be scared of.

take down the fence, let the deer breed naturally, let them roam freely, let mother nature take its course... do you realize how much greater of a feeling it is to kill a nice buck (that you may not even know existed) once every 5 years or so, compared to killing 1 or 2 huge bucks every year that you know are there bc you paid to have them put in your fence?

A comment titled: dumb in response to a report titled: Monster Bucks

deer hunting is just getting out of hand. there should be laws against the unnatural breeding of deer and shooting deer inside of a fence. i know its just a matter of time before some millionaire buys our lease and turns it into a petting zoo, hopefully i'm dead and gone before it happens.

but whats even dumber is the idiots that pay the absurd amount of money to go shoot these pets. why not just go into a cattle pen and shoot a cow? they taste better than a deer any way

once you have your limit of drum, what baits do you recommend throwing that won't catch so many more drum but might catch more reds and specks?

A comment titled: nose up??? in response to a report titled: Deer with no face

if u look at the white stripe that goes down the front the neck, it looks like the deer has its nose up and turned to the right like its licking that tree branch, but even if thats the case something still doesnt look right

A comment titled: maxcheramie in response to a report titled: Disappearing Deer???

if u have 9 cameras, that probably means you have lots of money and hunt on prime or fenced in land which is why you see so many deer, especially if they're eating out of a tray like u say. i really dont think that recipe would attract any more deer than rice bran would

A comment titled: deer in response to a report titled: deer bedding in swamps

i never hunted the swamp but i can tell u that deer like to bed in palmettos because they provide lots of cover, the palmetto thickets where i hunt are always holding deer, im guessing the ridges are open which is why they dont bed there, but during the rut the does will hit theses open areas when being chased so i would stay close to the bedding area right now but start hunting the ridges when the rut starts
