I am from MC La and wanted to share some pics of the deer here in Eastern Ohio where I'm working and living on a place with 200 acres. Absoutely beautiful place.

Had this deer run in front the truck in eastern Ohio where I'm working then slowly mosey on over to where this pic was taken. According to the locals a large albino whitetail was killed by 2 hunters over 25 years ago and while on the way home they were both killed in a auto accident so no one is shooting them because they are scared and say they bring bad luck if killed.

Use a guide as a favor for yourself and other hunters. They know they land and where the animals are. You will spend more time walking and scouting than hunting.

Try St. Mary Parish. Most landings are owned by the parish, we charge $1.00 a launch and $1.00 a day parking. It's not the best system in the world but the landings have security cameras, normal trash pickup and major improvments to the landings by this system. We have been doing this since 1992 and sepnt well over 5 million in improvments and continue to do so. Good luck out there

Make sure you clear all palmetto branchs away on the trail to your stand.
When I hunted like this I also cut trails leading from the bedding areas to my stand. A deer will take the path of least resistance I have found over the years and eventually will make this a normal route. Good luck. I always liked hunting palmetto swamps and ridges

We used to catch them bigger than that about 6 years ago in the grass beds in Flat Lake in St Mary/Martin parish. then the DWLF killed all the grass and they were gone.
