Well, I was blessed by the the hunting God this year. Been hunting 25 years and never shot anything big enough to put on a wall, until this year. Got this guy the very last weekend of the year. Actually, it was the last day for me to hunt. He was aged at 6 years old, 175 pounds (not an ounce of fat on him from rutting) with 11 points and a 16 inch spread. Finished the year with a doe, 8, 11, and a 12 point. Awesome year and thank you to my wonderful wife for allowing me to hunt so much!
Finally got me a nice buck, only after 25 years of hunting. To make it even better, my wife was with me. It was her first hunt ever and both of us climbed up in a single man ladder stand. This 12 point come in behind us and we watched him make a scrape. I shot him at 8 yards.
Hello everyone, Im sure yall have answered this before, but I couldnt find the post. What is yalls opinion on which one is better? The 444 or 45-70? Im looking to buy and just want some opinions from experience. Thanks very much for the help.
My son and I decided to go and sit together in the stand and make an evening hunt, since the front was coming. It ended up being a great hunt! The first hog came out and took off running across the field and my son dropped it in its tracks just before it made it to the other side. Soon after the other one took off running across and was cutting back and forth like Mark Ingram (ROLL TIDE!)and I dropped it just before making it to the other side. This was my sons first hog, last year he got his first deer and I think he is hooked for life! Just wanted to share it with ya'll. There is nothing like having a good hunt with your kid!
Can anyone tell me if there is a person that can recarpet boats? I have a 1994 Alumaweld 17ft boat that the carpet is coming up and need to find someone to recarpet for me. I will also consider spraying a liner if that is more economical. Thanks for any help yall can give me!
