Update since I last posted here on Pro Ride.
After replacing the bearings and tires on my 1 year old trailer from Jason, which by the way he told me he changed bearings and did not, I brought my trailer to Pearsons trailers in Kenner
to have the axle looked at which is bent. The guy there told me the trailer is not built to the specs it should be. The angle the trailer is built with is 3/16 angle when it should have been built with 1/4 inch. Which explains why it bent when it did. Also all the the cross members under the boards are bent due to them being to thin. The axle is a 'rockwell' axle which the guy at Pearsons said is a cheap light duty axle...all though still supposed to be a 3500 lb. He said it is more like a 2500.Jsut an update for everyone to know. Now I know why the two guys that contacted me from this post also had a bent and cracked trailer. And a friend of mine has his aluminum trailer sitting at PRT with cracked welds. People please take my advice...DO NOT DEAL WITH PRO RIDE, PRT OR ANY OTHER NAME JASON JARREAU goes under. He does NOT build a quality trailer. My next thing is to talk to my lawyer and see about suing him for building a trailer for me that cannot handle what is supposed to do. I paid just over $2000 for this trailer and its not worth the scrap metal price I could get for it. Anybody here read this and want to get together a class action suit let me know. There is power in numbers!!!!
Just talked to a friend of mine who bought an aluminium trailer from Jason, yeah its cracking.....STAY AWAY!!!!! Tony, \r\nI appreciate the response and results in regards \'PRO RIDE\' trailers. However, he is now listing under \'PRT TRAILERS\'. Everyone don\'t be fooled just because he is using a different name. Just making everyone aware of the situation. But I\'m sure that anyone who has dealt with this guy can figure it out. For anyone who doesn\'t know...STAY AWAY FROM PRO RIDE TRAILERS OR PRT TRAILERS...SAME GUY...SAME B.S.
PRO RIDE TRAILERS Utility Trailer For Sale in Louisiana
Do not have any dealings with PRO RIDE TRAILERS.This guy is not an honest person and does not stand behind his work. My trailer has been to him for repairs three times in less than a year.rnThis last time it sat at his place for 4 weeks because the tires wore out in one trip to my lease which is 2 1/2 hours round trip.He first said he was changing the entire axle then he said after looking at it he found the bearings on driver side were bad and replaced them and repacked both sides. When I got home I jacked the trailer up on both sides to find out he had done NOTHING!!! The trailer still had a wobble on both hubs, driver and passenger side, which it had when I brought it to him. The grease caps hadn't even been removed at all.The trailer bent on me the first time I used it when it had 2200 pounds on it. It has a 3500lb. axle and is supposed to be able to carry 3000lbs. I have a 7x12 with the ramp rails. The trailer was built crappy from the beginning. The spare tire holders are a joke. One side broke and the other side wobbled so bad the side wall of the spare rubbed against the rail of the trailer and blew it out. Please read in the forums about all the complaints. Also look at BBB. He has a grade of 'F'. Also I dropped the trailer off in June when it was still in warranty and I was told by him that it wasn't under warranty anymore. It was less than a year old but wasn't under warranty. There is more to say, but I am not going further. All I know is I got screwed to the tune of $2000.00 My trailer was not built to the specs it should have been. Just please take my advice..****STAY AWAY FROM PRO RIDE TRAILERS***BAD BUSINESS... HE DOES NOT ANSWER OR RETURN PHONE CALLS, UNLESS YOU CALL FROM A NUMBER HE DOES NOT KNOW AND WHEN HE DOES ALL YOU GET IS B.S. EXCUSES
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME. I WILL BE HAPPY TO FILL YOU IN!!!!!
Also, look in forums under 'opinions & responses' and look at how many people are complaining about this guy and their stories. It will speak VOLUMES as to why NOT deal with this guy.I am self employed and have my own business, and if I did business like Jason Jarreau, I wouldn't have a business!!!!!!!
I am fixing to put a trailer builder that advertises on here on blast if he doesn't rectify the issue with my trailer very soon. I paid good money for this trailer and have nothing but issues. He doesnt return phone calls after I have left numerous messages. Does anyone else have this issue with a trailer builder that advertises on this site?
