REDFISH BONANZA

Great three days of redfishing in dularge.
Thurday first trip out after the hurricane. Started catching a few reds right out the gate. one here one there.
Looking for the post hurricane bite and found it shortly there after. had about 15 at about 9:00 and then went back to one spot that I had caught a few and it was almost every cast. fished til 12:30 caught 54.... Read More

Another day today like sundays trip. A little slower bite but had 25 at about 8:15. perfect wind again to keep the bugs away. fished til 11:30 releasing 16 additional fish.
Similar size to last trip biggest fish today was 21 inch with about 12 18 inch or better trout. It doesnt get much better as for as dularge fishing goes. Hopefully will run across a few bigger ones soon though. Fishing.... Read More

great solo fishing trip on the du Sunday morning. Calm winds(about 5-7 mph just enough to keep the bugs away) good tide . great bite. Fast and furious early on both topwater and plastic. Topwater slowed but plactic bite continued for a while. Had 25 by about 7 o clock then played catch and release for a while and did a little scouting. any reports of fish coming out of the lower basin. Flat lake duck lake , or shell canal area.

slow morning trout fishing today. winds were blowing from the start. Caught 16 trout in lake mechant and sister lake. good quality fish though smaller average than tuesday . hope the wind dies back down soon.

made a solo trip to Lake Mechant this morning . Noticed absolutely no tide when I got there and figured I was in for trouble. Luck was on my side as I got in the lake at daybreak and had a great trout bite. had a limit at about 7:45 of some quality trout. fish from 15-21 inches biggest going 3.6 pounds. Wasn't expecting a great trout day today but was definitely wrong. Wind was blowing early but fish didn't mind.. Played catch and release today. 127 trout before the wind really kicked up. no giants but had about 15 that were 19-20 inch remainder 13-18 inch fish. One of those days that the bite just didn't seem to want to stop.
