I have a family camo on the tickfaw at terry harbor and would like to take my son bream fishing. I used to be able to find the bluegill and goggles (pre Katrina) but have been striking out for the last 10 years so I quit trying. Now the boy wants to try. Any suggestions?
Hey guys, Shell beach is a new area for me and I am looking to do some fishing and bowfishing this weekend. I have studied the area thoroughly on google earth and plan to mark some spots while fishing in the day to come back to at night.
Any thoughts, safety concerns, or tips are greatly appreciated.
Hey guys, I duck hunt in forked island and would like to start fishing it as well. Looking on google earth I have pretty close access to the west side of vermillion bay. I see that fish are being caught mostly on the east side around cypremont and the trash pile, but does anyone fish shell island or little white lake? I don't need tips or secrets, just looking for a yes or no.
Hey guys, longtime lurker looking for some tips. I just bought a gtr and Id love to go after some frogs reasonably close to baton rouge. The boat is decked out with a bow fishing platform with lights so maybe we can trade a frog hunt for some bow fishing?rnrnThanks

How are you guys using the yoyo's for sacalait? I have used em for catfish with cut bait under piers but never sacalait. What does the set up look like? Minnow under tree?
Wow! What a great weekend. I rarely post on here, just read all the great hunting and fishing trips you guys have. Opening weekend started with 4 guys getting our limits consisting of teal, greys, widgeon, and pintail. Then, on nothing more than a hunch I decided to pull out my rod. I hunt in freshwater marsh, maybe 1 foot deep, and started throwin a spinnerbait. Before I knew it I had.... Read More
I was thinkin about heading to Leeville after Thanksgiving to fish for the weekend but I never go without consulting the pro's on this site first.
So guys, what do you think? Wind should have died down a bit, I havent checked tides, temperature should have the fish coming out of the lakes looking for deeper water....any opinions? Any suggestions as to where I should try?
I am going down to the Rockefeller/Roleover area this weekend and I just wanted to see if I would be wasting my time trying to catch some fish. I have heard that the area is either very hot or very cold.
I dont understand the "I shot that gator because he was after my dog" law. How is it proven that an animal was killed out of protection.
I would love to take my dogs hunting but the gators, and wildlife agents, are too numerous for me to take the chance that they will not believe my story.
Another example but same principle. My uncle filmed two Louisiana black bear on his.... Read More
Ok guys, please help me figure out a debate that went down at the duck camp. It concerns the ever so opinionated subject of using scent to attract ducks. All because this Quack Attack stuff, if thats the correct name.
The debate was this: If using scent to attract ducks is legal, based on the priciple that there is nothing for the birds to eat, then using many products should be legal,.... Read More
went down to catfish lake this weekend hoping to hit the deep holes with the cold weather. all we caught was a wicked wind burn. anyone else try and brave the wind this weekend?
I have been fishing leeville all my life but have ran into a new problem. My Dad just sold the boat I fished out of. So, I have a go-devil that I will attempt to fish out of because nothing is going to keep me off the water. Where can I go, in a go-devil, and catch fish without having to take an hour boat ride?
