Not many ducks in Dularge. Reports were bad saturday and the saturday afternoon looked like sunday. Everyone was leaving. Most people didn't hunt sunday. We picked up a new lease this year that no one has hunted in a couple of years. There is a hole on it that has been holding birds. We killed 18 greys by 6:50 saturday. Went back this morning and got our 18 for around 10am. 36 greys on open.... Read More

Tooka's second hunt today. Lots of teal. Picked up 9 birds. She actually saw 3 fall out of the sky this morning. One Perry shot landed 5 feet from her! Some blinds 30 yards into the grass. 3 cold blinds as I had her sit while we were being bomdared. Very happy about the work today. Shes getting the idea.

Saturday was a dawning of a new era. Last year on Dec 7th I lost my hunting dog Jessy. i know everyone thinks they have the greatest dog so I will let other people tell about that. In July her last littermate had her last litter and I got the pick. I wanted a yellow female, she only had 2 females a black and chocolate. I took the black. Does anyone know if the repair has been finalized on the hole in the levee on the reserve in Montegut? I went through it about 6 weeks ago and they had it half way closed.

Scouted Montegut yesterday. I saw 6 teal & 5 were in a flock together. Very little feed out there right now. Earlier in the summer there were grass mats in the ponds, they have all dissapeared. I hope its not a replay of last year. Good number & no food. Anyone dove huniting Pointe-aux-chenes?
