Another incredible day out of The Reel Inn Fishing Lodge. Tim Barras, Bob Daigle, and Chester Turner were back on board once again for another trout slam. We wrapped our three day trip up with INOLECT down in Grand Isle yesterday. Conditions were better and so was the bite. Most boats averaged 30-70 keepers with 50-100 throwbacks. Plenty small fish if you like action. Live shrimp, and Endura shrimp under corks, and live croakers Carolina rigged seemed to work best. Day 2 with InoLECT in Grand Isle and Marquette down in Dularge. We were all greeted with stiffer winds than expected and dirty water in most locations. The conditions made for some tough catching. In Grand Isle all our four boats focused on trout. Live shrimp, Endura shrimp under a cork, and live croakers tightlined managed to get some trout in the boat. No big numbers but plenty to make.... Change of pace today as we went chase down the bronze backs. Lee Sr and Lee Jr Ludwick and Kyle Robbins from Houston Texas joined me for an easy red fish slam. Day 2 with BISSO Marine was just as good as yesterday If not better!! Our first couple stops were slow only boxing 30 trout. We then hit the mother-load and iced down 50+ fish in a matter of 20 minutes or less. The entire deck of the Blue wave was covered in slime and fish as it was fast and furious.
