We killed a boar and it stunk. The meat stunk after we cleaned it and the meat tasted bad. I was told that you need to castrate (cut out the nuts) immediately after you killed a male. Is this true? what is the best way to do this? Right now we have resolved to leave thr males in the woods and only take the females.

My 8 year old grandson (a little short) has decided to hunt 'full time'. I was letting him use my H&R .44, but it is awkward for him (heavy, relief too high, stock too long). What is the best rifle with the greatest range and accuracy for him? I need to put this all together in less than 10 days.

I want to connect a 500 gallon water tank to the city water connection on my camper and maintain positive pressure (just like a normal water faucet). What size and kind of pump do I need? What treatment do I need to maintain the water stored in the tank (water in tank is from city water faucet)?

Speaking of...DD got a 3mo old beagle. Will use for tracking only. How do ya train it for leash tracking now that deer season is over and there are no deer parts or such available to lay down a trail?

Sunday fishing in GI. Geez, the trucks and boat trailers were like ants on sugar from Leeville all the way to the end of the Isle. Was gonna pick up some live bait to fish after cutting our camp lots, but everybody was out of live shrimps by noon. Fishing LA #1 this Sunday. How close to GI can you get on LA 1 and still fish on the roadside by the bridges?

My daughter and I are looking for a hunting camp to join. I'm presently hunting near McComb, Miss. so something close to this area would be great. We are self-sufficient, so the only must have requirement is PRIVATE LAND. Willing to go in with others for a lease (old or new), but funds are limited.

Any news on the season yet? Are they going to move it around as proposed? I can't fing anything on the MDWFP website!
