From one 'lightweight' to another, for protection from the....
I have a sealed lead-acid 12v deerfeeder battery. Can I get away with using a regular car battery charger to charge it? Or will it blow up in a perfect Redneck Moment - 'hey y'all, watch this!'
It has several settings available, including trickle charge.
Any recommendations?

12v charger will work, put it on 2 or 4 amps
It's a fishin' tradition in my family to fish Thanksgiving morning and Christmas Eve.
I lucked out and have five days off Saturday thru Wednesday so I'm fixin' to go fishing as many of those days as possible.
I reckon tomorrow looks like The Trestles so I can dig out some Sheepshead.

It was Killax & Chillax at the Trestlax.
The fishin' at the Trestles was good - I fished it Thursday morning, Friday and Sunday. Each day I got plenty of Sheepshead plus a few Spackled Trout, a Baby Bull Red and puppy drums. On Friday and Sunday I even caught a couple Flounder. Total number of Cajun Grand Slams was two on Friday and one on Sunday. Woo-hoo!

Managed to pick off a few nice fish before that nasty line squall blew thru for 11am.
One 22 inch Sheepshead, two 24 inch Redfish were the top billing but also got 2 more Sheepshead and 2 Puppie Drum.

Yea i was out there@Da south pass&Lake P Catchin Trout....
If any kayak fishermen want to join up, I'm going to fish the south end of the Trestles, launching at Triple Beach, on Friday for 630am.

Drive south on Hwy 11 until just before the bridge. Basically, pull over on the right side just after the last elevated camp before the bridge. Thats where Tite's used to be. There's a backdown ramp but most of us kayak fishermen launch off the narrow dock just to the north of the ramp.
I'm fixin' to buy me a lifetime fishin' license. They is $300 but will I still have to buy the yearly $5.50 Saltwater license too?

Last time I stopped back by was in the Fall and the shed and tanks looked complete & plumbed. The backdown ramp still needed pouring - I know they were waiting on permitting for that.

I've been driving the extra distance lately to get down to Campo's in Shell Beach and avoid the dirty water. But has anybody been fishing the Rigolets area with any luck?
