I have a hunt in the morning on Mandalay NWR . Does anyone know for sure if the flood gates are open at Cannons boat landing or should I prepare to come from the Firestation Landing in Houma . I had heard that the gates were closed a few weeks ago . Thanks , any help appreciated.

Anyone know what it took to win the Andolsek tournament in Bayou Black this weekend?I was just curious.Heard they had over a hundred boats.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiance with getting your hunting retriever fixed.Spayed/Neutered.Any pros or cons.I have heard that it calms them down some but how does it affect there drive or overall mentality.I am thinking of having my 2 year old female fixed as I never have any plans on breeding her ,but dont want to screw up.All replies appreciated.

Just to update you guys,this morning i went ahead and....
Just a question maybe some of you guy's can help with.Is it legal to have two loaded guns in the blind?For instance one with duck loads and one with goose loads on the side,just in case.I say no way because it seems almost the same as hunting without a plug.My brother says he believes it is legal.I cant seem to find anything in the regulations pamphlet on it.Maybe someone knows the.... My frame works perfectly. The cover was a learning curve.....
Just wondering how common mixed breed ducks are.How many of you have killed one,and what type was it?I have heard of a few over the years but never taken one myself.A friend of mine killed a mallard/pintail mix last season ,it was beautiful having characteristics from both species.
