Pic of a decent size beaver I caught in one of my sets last season. Ready for hunting and trapping season to get here!!!
Has anyone payed attention to the water level around manchac since Isaac came through while driving down hwy. 55. I wanted to head out there this weekend to do a little scouting and just would like a little heads up on what to expect before i make the drive from Baton Rouge.

Why would you need to scout manchac... If the Wax is....
curious as to wich scent free wash and wich scent free spray yall prefer to use on you're hunting clothes and equipment.

I have used baking soda on a rinse cycle for about two....
Was shooting my remington semi auto hunting rifle over the weekend when the composite protector on the outside of the action cracked and wound up jamming up my action causing it not to close and being stuck open. any suggestions on what i should do or where i should take it to get looked at around the BR area? would like to be back shooting this weekend.

hunting season is right around the corner. been waiting all year for this time to come back around and i know im not the only one. hope to have some good pics to post up on here this season.

your prolly talking bout pevine road, cuz i fish over....
was wondering what you would do with a snappin turtle after you catch. i was told to put him in a bucket or a bin to keep him to try to clean him out. how long should i leave him in the bin before i take him out to kill him and should i feed him or put water in there with him? any suggestions on how this is suppose to be done.
i am fairly new to the area and was looking for some places i could go saltwater fishing from the shore being as a have no boat, to catch some specs reds or whatever else i can. i grew up fishing in the chesapeake bay in VA and would like to get back into saltwater fishing. if anyone has any advise for places or areas for me to check out i would appreciate it.

went out to my hunting lease this weekend in Ramah since the water started dropping in hopes of seeing some deer didnt see any deer a lot of woodducks though. any body having any luck around that area in the spillway with duck or deer hunting? and any advice on hunting the high water really want to kill a deer before the season is totally over.

i have been seeing quite a few pool doo while duck hunting. i was wondering if i shot some how do they taste and best way to cook them and if they are even worth the effort.

i was wondering is anyone killing or seeing ducks in the basin around ramah. im thinking about making a trip out there this weekend.
My hunting lease in the basin is flooded out and havn't been able to deer hunt it at all this season thus i have no deer meat. if any one needs an extra stander on the property to help manage deer i would love the oppurtunity. or if anyone needs helps running dogs i would be willing to walk and mandrive i love to deer hunt with dogs also just dont have any. i love to deer hunt and would like the.... Went in Tuesday morning and the water was really high,....
the water is high on my lease in the spillway by maringuin. i havnt been out to joyce wma lately and want to check it out this weekend. has anyone been out there and is the water high in the area between lake ponchatrain and 55 so i have a heads up of what to expect when i head out there this weekend to look around. thanks for any info
i took my pirogue out this weekend to my lease in the spillway out by maringuin and the water was just to high to bow hunt it. couldnt find any ridges or high spots in the woods. but this is also my first year on this lease so i still need to learn more about it. anyone have any idea when the water will start to go down?

i dont know but i love riding at hte spillway so i hope....
i jus bought a 12' critter gitter pirogue with a flat back. does anyone have one and know how well the handle. i was also curious if anyone has put a small trolling motor on the back of their pirogue and how well they handle. hopefully i'll get a chance to get out in the spillway this weekend to do some deer hunting.
