Decided last night I wanted to make a trip down south to get my sleigh ride itch taken care of. Woke up this morning to absolutely no wind and clean clean water! Last night (July 5th) my friend and I went to Seabrook about 6pm to fish out of our kayaks. These are not small kayaks as they are almost 15' and can carry 600lbs. We have led stern lights, rod holders, and I even have a Garmin 545s on one of them. Very safe boats to say the least. I have met many great people there in boats and on shore.

Had a fun time fighting this ugly thing when looking for trout. After the picture was taken he was let loose to bust some more lines and make some babies. I could imagine the worms in that thing!

Been out there many of times at night. Just got to....
I just wanted to wish everyone good luck and be safe out there on the water today hunting. Yesterday looked like a hunting boat show going down the highway with all the flat boats and pirogues. Get some limits and be safe.

Made it down to Fourchon Beach to find trash everywhere including the trashy people on the beach, idiots stuck in the sand, and huge waves. Launched off of hwy one to try and find some protection from the wind but still plenty. Ended up getting a rat red, a big doormat going almost an even 5lbs and my wife caught her first speck on her maiden voyage. She is now hooked and wants a better yak with.... Read More

Thats right an 8.5lb'er! But, not a fish, my son!! Best 8.5lb anything I have landed so far. Shane Gabriel Jones was 8.5lbs and 20.5in born 6/8/07 at 5:54am. Everyone welcome the newest fisherman aboard! Mom and Shane are doing great and home already!

Went out for my first trip in the new ride Tuesday and had a blast. Caught 3 reds, one over 27" and 2 right below. Totally different experience in a yak as its quiet and when you get hooked up hold on! Its like a trolling motor with a mind of its own.
