  • Birthday girl and brother with Cajun slam.
Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

It was Viola’s birthday present from her husband Henry and brother Jim. Jim is from Baton Rouge and Henry and Viola from Oklahoma. When they arrived at Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville, the front had already passed and wind was blowing from the Northwest, but it was Viola’s birthday.

We were idling out to the Sofa in the East Access canal at first....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Fished Thursday and Friday out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville with Bill, Wayne, and Chris from New Mexico. The weather was perfect with winds 5-10 from the southeast and a sweet range in tide, falling till noon and topping out around midnight. Despite a full moon, the fall fishing bite continues at a fever pace and there is plenty of action at the....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Fishing out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel this past two weeks has been nothing short of wonderful. The fall bite is on and action at the fishing cleaning station is heavy. The White Trout are in all the deep main canals like the East and West Canals along with Bayou Lafourche. Even when the front blew through this past weekend for the Leeville Speckled Trout....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,
Returned back to Leeville this past Wednesday after two weeks vacation. I quickly found two menaces that were still hanging around Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville. A nuisance wind and coastal showers were still making fishing conditions tough. We could not run outside so I worked the usual inside deep holes.

When conditions get rough, deeper water....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

It was a rough Saturday morning out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville. Aside for a couple of hours early this morning, heavy wind and thunderstorms occupied most of the morning fishing time. The afternoon fishing is also going to be rough as thunderstorms are continuing and the sky is dark. Heavy gusts accompany the thunderstorms so if you’re fishing....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Rain and wind prevented us from filming Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday we caught a break in the morning so I ran to the Power Lines on the East Canal. Squid Row fishes that neck of the woods and the last time he was down he showed me a short cut. I returned the favor by helping him clean their 80+ White Trout. He told me that if ever the weather is rough, he can....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,
Action at the fish cleaning station at Boudreaux's in Leeville slowed today as the North wind was 10-18mph early this morning and has not let up. The increased wind along with weekend trawlers have Bay Racourcci and the northern side of Timbalier pretty dirty. Inside fishing continues to increase as the White Trout have moved in.

Back on the water tomorrow....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,
Fished yesterday afternoon from 5pm to dark out of Boudreux's in Leeville. It was nonstop catfish action at the Deep Bayou rocks. Water was clean aglernd moving out, pushed by a faling tide and Northeast wind.

Weekend anglers started to get in yesterday and were greated with a rising tide and an east wind. I pulled the boat last night for cleaning in advance....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

It was nice to come back from fishing and find the WI-FI back up at Boudreaux's, hence this report fresh off the water. Morning trip to Castette/Calumet awesome. Pulled up to the west point of Cassetete and found catfish. Saw the Pelicans diving on the western point of Calumet and found shools of Pogys, huge slicks and the area lit up with Specks and Bull....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Just completed a five week hitch fishing out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville. Wi-Fi turned into Why- Fly this past hitch, explaining my lack of posts since the last time I was home after the 4th of July. During this hitch, we said goodbye to the predominate westerly wind and hello to a couple of weak frontal passages, abnormal cool temps, light....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Last week of June, fishing out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront was tougher than normal as action at the fish cleaning station diminished. A combination of high water and strong afternoon wind slowed fishing down despite the great range in tide during New Moon week. On days when we could get outside, I concentrated on the west side of Philo Brice and the underwater,....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Fished Friday and Saturday out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville. Both days were extremes. Friday we were greeted with a generally north wind and flat tide so I headed to the northwest point of Philo Brice. Wind was moving the water as the incoming tide was overruled by the wind switching to outgoing tide early. I backed off of the island and anchored....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

I was curious to see if the Full Moon would slow the gorging activities of this year’s Speck spawn. With everything running about 30 days late this year, I wondered if the feed would continue. Generally fishing Full Moon can be tough if you are not fishing at night. I tracked from June 9th thru June 16th since I fished with guests every day. The results were....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Fished Monday June 9th out of Boudreaux’s Motel in Leeville and it was nothing short of brutal. After great weather on Thursday and Friday while filming, as the weekend arrived, the wind started to increase from the west and southwest. By Monday water was rough and dirty outside. Even my safe havens like the peninsula from Bayou Rosa to Deep Bayou and Grand....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Fished and filmed Thursday and today out of Boudreaux’s in Leeville. Thursday the wind was easing but still blowing from mid-morning on. I escaped the southeast wind by fishing the protected water of Grand Bayou Blue where it meets Raccoourci. The day was mostly cloudy and topwater and Carolina rigged live minnows and finger mullet produced a nice mess of big....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Fished Memorial Day out of Boudreaux Waterfront Motel in Leeville. Place was packed for the holiday. Started off at the Deep Bayou rocks and got into the Big Specks until the incoming tide stopped. Mongo and I took a break for lunch while we broke for Philo Brice. The wind was slowly increasing so we worked the protected North shore of the island, waiting for....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

Fished yesterday out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel and the day was glorious, but pataience was the key. My guest and I started the incoming tide in the Bay Rosa and Deep Bayou area with a slow morning bite and non-aggressive fish. When the breeze subsided along with the chop, I headed west to the Northwest Structures, Fornation, and Philo Brice in anticipation....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,

The tide slacked this morning, so I figured it was a good time to reload for the next round of fishing. This past hitch out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville featured beautiful weather with a soothing breeze, just enough to keep both the gnats and most of the sand flies at bay. The Full Moon week produced the normal big range in tide, incoming most of....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,
Fished the last 10 days out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville. This hitch continued to feature the wind and if you did not know how to deal with it, catching was tough. On the calmer days there was plenty action at the fish cleaning station with both Redfish and Specks being caught. The boats that fished outside on these days may not have limited out on....  Read More

Hello Again Cyber Anglers,
Fished last Thursday thru Sunday and again Wednesday of this week out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront Motel in Leeville. The recent calm wind days we have spent at Casse-tete, Philo and Bird Islands welcoming the Trout to outside water as the water temp continued to climb into the mid 70’s. The big Specks near the coast are just beginning to move in and feed and there is....  Read More
