This makes all the work worth it!! This is my third season of duck hunting and I haven't bagged a banded duck until now. Now I know what all talk about 'jewelry' feels like. It's a DoGris drake, BUT it is a double band.

Three last hunts...three double retrieves. I finally managed to get a complete one on video. She is only 65 lbs. with a small mouth so to see her snatch up two large Redhead hens was something special. Enjoy!!

Ditto....hunted Joyce twice this week and the Manchac Prairie once. Shot one teal in Joyce and nothing the other two hunts. Didn't even raise my gun on the two that scrathced. Disaapointing. It seems the birds have moved out.

Thought I would share this with everyone as there seems to be a lot of speculation about the Prairie...Is it or isn't it a LAA?
I verifed this with the Hammond field office a month ago. Their area of responsibility is biology and WMA management. The Manchac Prairie is now a LAA.

Thats what im saying these guys in for a rude awakening if....
I am looking to buy a used Gator Trax boat or something similar with open hull and hunt deck with a mud buddy surface drive. I have been browsing the internet for a few weeks now and it seems the only decent resource for this type of boat is LA Sportsman. Does anyone know of some other website resources that are available for searching? Thank you.

I have 2 akc labs a male and a female and between the both....
I am interested in joining an HRC accredited club for running hunt tests for my dog. She is a finished gundog and ready for the tests. She is AKC/UKC registered and I am an active member of HRC. I am looking for any recommendations for HRC clubs in the southeast LA area. I live in Ponchatoula. Thanks!!
