Anybody know where I can fish from the bank and catch Stripers, a long time ago I went to the Morganza Locks (I think that is where we went) and did ok. Any spots and tips would be appreciated.

I am about to set some slat traps and possible hoop net or two and was wondering what the best bait was to put in them. I will be setting them on the Tickfaw River. I have known poeple to use the cheese bait with some success but I don't know where to get it in the Springfield area. Thanks!

Anyone catching sacalait on Tickfaw or Blood Rivers yet. This cooler weather should have em turnig back on. Also any tips on how to fish for them in those areas is appreciated! Thanks and good luck!

Had the pleasure of fishing with Stan 'The Lip Ripper' Cuquet of Cast Away Charters Saturday 7-9-11. This big Snapper didn't get away, but I had to put it back. Caught it 2 weeks before the season started, guessing it weighed around 30 lbs. Had a great trip, caught some nice Mahi Mahi on a huge rip about 50 miles out. Maybe next trip, it will be making snapper steaks on the grill!! Good luck and safe fishing to everyone!!
