I love Archery season, you get over a month to put deer in the freezer before the gun season even starts. 2 deer down opening week, meat turned into Green Onion sausage already, and looking for more!

Fished Sunday afternoon, getting into Point Fienne around 11:30, knowing it would not be that great of a bite with the slack tide, but only having off of work one day a week, you fish when you can. Started catching a few trout drifting across Point Fienne under a cork with glow DOA shrimp with chartruese tail, they would not hit anything else. We managed around 15 or so trout and the bite.... 32 trout and a red. That's a good day of fishing. I don't....
Fished Thursday afternoon starting around 11am, went staight to point fienne and started catching nice trout right away under a cork. The bite slowed a little so we moved to Bakers hoping for a better bite with the tide coming in, but only caught 2 small trout so we moved into Jack Nevette only to get 1 bite. It can't possibly get any better, 44 Trout, 3 Bass, Good Freinds, and a perfect sunset. I Love watching the sun go down over the marsh. Can you think of a better way to end 2011 than this!

Just in case anybody was looking for a great expandable broadhead that gets the job done, take a look at the job the Rage 2-blade does on a deer quartering to you can do. Had to go to the parade Sunday, so we decided to test the waters on the inside for Reds Saturday after work, and glad we did. When we found them at about 5pm, it was on. Fished Skippy Friday and Sunday, If i would have had a little help from the 2 other guys (we won't mention any names) in the boat Friday we may have had a limit, cause they only had 15 trout between them out of a total of 47 keepers. No bucks this year, but took my share of Does, Killed the first two 8 minutes apart, and 5 feet apart, and the 3rd from the same stand 3 days later. First trip with the new Z7 Mathews and Rage Broadheads. I've been bow hunting for 22 years and have been using expandable broadheads from day one. Thinking about making a trip to caernarvon, can anybody tell me if the canals have been dug out that were blocked from the storm, like the 40 orphan that went to creadmore and the canal to spanish lake. If so how's the bass been running. Thanks in advance!

It took three shots to harvest this deer.
