Well, I haven't heard too much about the fishing in Bayou Beinvenue or the ICWW in awhile, so today, my day off from work, I took a ride to see if I had been missing anything.
So I launched from the Rigolet Marina, cut through Lake Catherine(fished 1 spot) to the ICWW. Headed towards BB. Fished the Michoud slip, BB locks and the wall. Yep! I should have stayed home LOL!!!

I woke up this morning(12-6-12), drank 2 cups of coffee, watched the sun come up. Decided to go fishing. Got a late start but ended up with 25 trout by 11:30. They ranged from 13'-15'. I was fishing off the ICWW near Chef Pass.

Just wanted to share my experience yesterday(11-29-12) at Bayou Beinvenue near the wall with a long time fishing buddy from 20+ yrs ago.
We launched my boat at 07:00, started fishing around 07:15 and had our limit of trout by 09:20.
Nothing huge, but some nice fish in the 14' range.

Hello. I'm getting back into fishing after a 20+ yr break. I was wondering if the pass from Lake St. Catherine to the Intracoastal Waterway is navigational under what seem's to be a train tressle? I'm trying to cut down travel time from the Rigolet boat launch out to Chef Pass.

just bought a pirouge from Gus's fishing Tackle in Slidell, La. man this thing is sweet. rolled edges for strentgh, paddles and tracks very nice...and the price was very sweet.
