I was thinking of fishing lac des allemands this week and I have a few questions since I've never been before. Where do I get crickets? Should I go North or South from the highway 90 launch? Anyone catching any bream and catfish? Looking forward to a couple tips for a newcomer.

I am looking for information on hunting open water. I know guys hunt deep in the open water in the wax. How close can you get to the private land in the state claimed water near Burns Point, Marsh Island, Rockefeller, etc? The state owns all that water in vermillion bay, the near gulf, etc. Can you hunt that open water near the refuges like you can henderson? Its not a WMA, not a refuge, not.... Read More

Does anyone know where I can buy crickets in or near jefferson? I'm planning on fishing the Bayou Verrett and lake Cataouatche area tomorrow. Any reports from the area? Any pointers?

we have live crickets always 25-$1.50 50-3$ and so on
Made a trip with a few buddies to the Lake Cataouathce area today. Fished with live worms, beetle spins, all kinds of plastics, and Blue & White jigs. Managed to boat 2 small bream, a 2lb bass, and a small catfish. Put them all back to fight another day. Guy at the launch said the bream and goggle eye were biting but we didn't find them. Still looking for crickets in or around.... Read More
I am looking for a place to bream fish near New Orleans. I fished Henderson all my life and recently moved to NOLA. I haven't had much luck finding a place to waste afternoons perch jerking. If some of you could suggest places to fish and maybe launches/bait shops, that would be great. I have a 16 ft flat and I'm willing to travel a little bit. Looking forward to your suggestions.

Bought a boat and want it painted for the season. Anyone know a good and inexpensive painter in the Baton Rouge/new Orleans area or anywhere near there? Help me out.

Need a big boat too handle the river and all the crew boat....
I was given a boat and trailer by an old friend of mine who had a couple lying around. I worked on it and got the motor running and it is ready to go except for the trailer registration. Does anyone know how to get a new registration for a trailer with no documentation?

After hurricane katrina it has been very hard to get it....
So I was fishing out of shell beach today and found the submerged rock wall with my lower unit. It's dead. RIP. Anyone have one laying around that they want to get rid of? Also, I heard that some of the mariner/mercury parts were interchangeable with the tohatsu parts. Anyone know if this is true? Motor is a 50hp 3 cylinder from the early 90s. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking to go crabbing this week sometime and I am new to New Orleans. I have a 15ft flat and a couple of dip nets. My only experience in this area is some limited fishing out of shell beach recently. I am looking for info as to where to go for some crabs in the NOLA area. I am willing to travel up to about 1 hour. Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks

change the fuel pump diaphrame trust me i put 17 hours....
Once its runnin if you put it on Choke does it still run???
first thing to do is check that it is sealed and secured....
you should be able to Idle it up by adjusting rod Cable....
