Feb. 8, 2013 -- The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission (LWFC) adopted notices of intent for the 2013-15 hunting seasons and the 2013-14 Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) General Rules and Regulations at their Feb. 7 meeting.

NOTICE: Ben’s Creek W.M.A. Lease Will Not Be Renewed
The property that comprises Ben’s Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) will no longer be part of the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries’ WMA program as of June 30, 2012. Beginning July 1,2012, Weyerhaeuser Corporation will once again manage the property.
Guess the state is to broke to keep the WMAs going.

Took my son and some friends fishing last week, we were catching a few trout when my son's reel started peeling out line, I thought he hooked a big red, but after 20 or 25mins we saw what he hooked into. He had a nice Jack Cravell on 17lb test.

Guys my grandfather gave me some old Penn Reels, most work and a few don't. I would like to see about getting them cleaned up and working again. Is there anyone on the northshore that works on reels?

Can anyone tell me if the handles on a outboard control box can be switched from laft hand to right hand? I have a yamaha 115 that i want to put on another boat, the boat it is on now has the controls on the left side of the center console and the boat it is going on has the holes all ready cut on the right side.

To those who post a add then sell their item, please go back and remove your ad or at least mark it as sold.

Has anyone ever heard of BoatsDepot.org? I was looking at a few boats on the site, but the prices seem to be to good to be true. Just looking to see if anyone else has the same thoughts I do on this site .

There were some deer hunters trying to catch their dogs in lacombe around Little Dixie Ranch rd on Saturday. If any of you guys read this send me a e-mail. Also just to let you know the dogs were running a nice 8pt. I watched the deer run around the yard behind me and then through my yard and into the horse pasture.

Went to Tennessee over Thanksgiving, My cousin killed his first mountable buck. A nice 11pt chasing a doe in the middle of a cow pasture. His brother in law killed a 5pt with a hooked rack.

Firearms a shotgun, rifle, pistol, revolver, or....
I have a 2001 Yamaha 115. I added a fuel water filter and when I went to start the motor after pumping the ball, the battery died. I put a new battery in the boat and the motor still won't start. When I turn the key all I hear is a click. The battery has a full charge and all the connections are tight. I checked the fuses and all were good. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

I am looking at a rangefinder, I want one for bow and gun hunting. Which is the better one out there for both bow and gun hunting? I looked at the Bushnell Scout with ARC also the Nikon with TB (true Balistics)
What other range finders have the technology to show the true yardage if shooting up or down hill?
