what happened to the good ole days when you went grocery shopping, and you purchase was bagged and placed in your cart for you?
now days, when the bags are full while you are still putting grocereys on the belt, the cashier waits on you to put them in your cart. then she looks at you, like a calf looking at a new gate.

i was thinking about trying vines in mississippi for some deer processing.

first trip off shore, and string bean has a 32 min fight with a nice cobia. she wanted a 10' shark but settled for the cobia. she is hooked for life on fishing......and thats fine by me.

15 min run wot, slow down to idle and alarm sounds maybe 5 seconds then off.
i kill motor, restart and and put in gear, alarm sounds again. raise motor check intake ports, they are clean, rip off the cover and put a visual on things, looks ok, check oil level, good.
i tell butterbean drop the trolling motor and start fishing while i read the manual. he puts a.... Read More

I ran Flat Lake, Bayou Boutte and into Duck Lake last....

reporting from weekend, started slow and ended ok, but was a great weekend with my son and great buddy....also had an old friend and his neighbor tag along, thats all that matters is a good time.

i use cocahoe minnows 75% of the time,5% dead shrimp and 20% plastic.
when we are further out and run out of minnows, my son butterbean had me buy him a cast net 2 yrs ago. i laughed and said ok.
well to my surprise we had some activity popping around us and he started chunking and pulling in some 3-4' shinny very thin fish(guessing poggies?) ended up using them and catching better quality.... Read More

Where do you fish down there? Are you catching alot of....
we need to see if axemen will do a show on 'shelby' the guy we love from louisiana.
see if he can harvest some of those logs in the mississippi river with his 'log dawg'.....
