I got to work this morning and a few coworkers said on the news last night they announced that the bass limit was changing to 7 per man with no size limit. Anyone else see this? Is it true? If so when does it take effect?

Went down to dularge this morning to try to get in on the hot trout action. Fishing was great other than the gnats and the 4 or 5 diffrent boat loads of people who think sight fishing means looking for other boats catching fish. Me and two buddies headed down to Dularge this morning. We were greeted with 20 mph winds, light rain, and very cold conditions. We headed off into the marsh looking for the elusive spotted sea trout. After 3 hours of fishing we only had 2 trout and 1 red to show for our efforts. We almost gave up and headed home. Decided to make a sacalait trip to the spillway this morning. What a great decision it was. Found them and they were hungry. 50 sacalait (caught atleast 100 but thought the limit was 25 a man) WHOOPS. Could have kept 50 more, oh well. Also 15 chinkapin 1 keeper bass(30 throw backs) and more bull bream than i can count(didnt keep them) and a few nice goggle eyes. All in all a great day on the.... Read More

Well we made the trip down to leeville yesterday.What a day, within the first 10 mintues of fishing the mount for the trolling motor broke and left the trolling motor hanging on by wires, the bolts holding the leaning post seat on sheared off and the back pedestal seat ripped out of the fiberglass. Well it looks like i will finally be back on the water after 6 weeks away this wednesday. Planning on leaving out of boudreauxs. Just curious about what type of bait has been doing best live shrimp, cocahoes, plastic? Also how has the water been in raccourci and farther south? Any info is appreciated. Dont need any spots just some general info. Will post a report when i get back.

Headed out to Leeville today for my first trip this year. Joining me were 3 friends of mine. Water was a 9 on a scale of 1-10. Wind blew pretty good but with it being a south wind the water stayed clean even though it was fairly choppy. Made a trip down to lake boudreaux today. Joining me was my dad and my cousin. As soon as the sun came out it was game on. Got our 75 trout but couldnt find the reds. Trout were caught on different types of plastic shrimp, DOAs, gulp, powerbait shrimp. Also caught a good bit with the tsunamis. All fish caught 2-3 feet under a cork drift fishing. Went down to leeville for a two day trip friday morning. Well our two day trip quickly turned into a one day. Found plenty of reds in the bayou blue area but due to the 8 billion gnats in my nose ears mouth and on my hands and face we had to leave them biting after just 15 minutes. Ok so I have a 2007 GMC z71 (new body). Im in the market for a new set of mud tires. I will be puting a 2' leveling kit on the front end, so I'm pretty sure I can fit 33' tires. What do you guys think the best bang for your buck tire is? I had a set of cooper stt mud tires in the past and loved them but willing to consiser different options. Oh yea 17' wheels not 20'. All opinions are welcome.

Ok, I havent been to leeville in about 5 months. Im going down thursday and friday for my birthday. Made a quick trip this morning out to a buddies deer lease for a wood duck hunt. Man they were thick. Just hunted a little slough from the bank. We just sat still and waited for them to come to us, even after we had our limit they just kept coming. Even while in the pirogue picking up the ones we shot they were still diving on us. Make a trip Monday out to the lake with nightfisher. Not the best or worst of trips. Learned alot, didn't know much about the lake going in. Thanks nightfisher for showing me how to fish the lake. We will have to make another trip. Next time we will go with the original game plan.
