I recently came across a blued Thompson Center Encore, 50 cal. muzzleloader. I tossed around the idea of trading it in on a stainless but no one is interested in putting another muzzleloader on the shelf. Has anyone had theirs Teflon coated? If so would you please post pictures or email them to me. Also any feed back would be appreciated.
Is it legal to use circle hooks on a trot line? Launching at a public landing later this afternoon and do not want to get a ticket. The catfish bite in the Mississippi River is on right now due to the clearer water and falling river.
For all you hoop netters, I see the Mississippi River is on the rise and I happen to have access to a ditch that runs out of a river fed barrow pit. First, is it legal to even set a hoop net in the ditch with out a commercial license, second which way should I position the net in accordance with the current. Is it true that fish mainly swim upstream? I have heard old timers say that you can.... Read More
To all you 'experienced' deer campers, I have an old trailer I use for a camp thats probably older than anybody on this site. Two years ago, I came across two couches from a friend and put them in the living area. A beautiful, frosty morning I was sure that the deer would be up and moving, but around 7 am the neighbors turned their hunting dogs loose and they make a beline for my position. I'll.... Read More
I was installing a new knocking loop on my bow the other day and accidently cut the thread on my bow string. It's been several years since I've visited the bow shop. Does anyone know how much Bowies or maybe a cheaper, better place around the Baton Rouge area will charge to rethread it? Thanks fellas for the information.
Does anyone know of anybody that works on Benjamin Sheridian pellet rifles? I need to thin out the starling population around the house. I saw an add under the classifieds section and called but the number is apparently disconnected. Thanks ahead for any help.
