Have been doing a little research on different lines. I fish alot of clear water and love fishing soft plastics. Ive always used mono on all my reels(14lb spiderwire) Thinking about trying some flurocarbon on my flipping rods because of it bein invisible in clear water.I hear that its harder to cast and has alot of spool memory. Those sure are some nice looking deer.
Me and a buddy plan to make a trip to Bodcau this weekend. Anyone know if it's gonna be open or closed. Rumor has it there is high water and a chance of closing the wma. If so, what about Union wma. Is the water high there also.

Anyone seeing any good deer sign in the bay. Going to take my 7 year old boy for youth hunt. He's shooting 243 this year. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Tried out new today my buddy give me, Gets the boat out of the water very fast and i like that but at half or little over half throttle i'm allready turning 5500 rpm. Can prop be cupped a little or do i just need whole new one. 18.6 ft bass boat with 150 yamaha.

you must work the same shift as me stuck on this boat till....
Anyone been doing any scouting in the bay. I know that is an early season hunting spot. Dont know why, because of all the hunting pressure maybe. Always seen deer early, around bow season then everything starts going south. How bad is mosquitoe population.

Its not too bad unless your near a swamp or the creek....
I have a late 90,s model fiberglass boat and the clear coat is starting to peel. Looking for someone to refinish or looking for an easy do-it-yourself way to make it look good again. Boat is in real good shape and is worth sinking a little money in to it. Trying to talk myself out of buying new one i guess.

Goin to Toledo Bend from Thursday to Sunday on easter weekend. Just like to know what the fish are biting on. Will only be my third time fishing there and I love it.

google earth is not bad. although the pond sizes change....
Headed up to Toledo Bend for easter. Dont get to go very often due to work. Just wondering if anyone has any tips for that time of year to catch a couple of bass. Bringing wife and kids so its more of camping trip then anything. But you know Ive got to get my fishing time in there somewhere.

Buddy of mine went today and caught 40 bass on flukes in....
I'm bringing my 7 year old on a deer hunt in Mississippi this weekend and was wondering if buckshot in his 20ga shotgun would be enough to put down a deer. I bought him a 243 but he cant see through the scope. What kind of yardage would buckshot be good for.

I've been seeing alot of post about West Bay and surrounding areas like Elizabeth. Last year i was on lease near there and decided to get off to hunt West Bay for free. Think that was big mistake. Ive bowhunted it few times seen bunch of does no bucks.....
We are takeing trip to J B next weekend. Heard we had to have special permits for the mandatory check doe days hunt. Does anyone know where to get permits. Was told we had to go to some field office but i dont know where it is.

Sensitivity is a big plus with floro and the low stretch.....
Just use a flurocarbon leader.
flourocarbon is not hard to cast, I find no difference in....
