Please keep the clutter to a minimum. I picked up something in the road in three rivers this weekend. Don't know if it fell out or what. Send me a message or email if you lost something. Just trying to help return someone's property.
Tried a little bass fishing in my Gator Trax. Fished the pearl river and found some to take home. Pulled the boat with my wifes car. 25 mpg instead of my 250 getting 13-14.
I made it out to 110' of water in the rough seas before my crew decided it was too rough. The sharks were extremely thick and so were the hard heads. Not one snapper hit the boat! I have never seen these rigs with no snapper.
Wayne, Laurie, Darrall, Tanya, and Lathan went with me on Sunday. We went out in search of AJ's and had trouble with them with 3 break off's. The bonus fish came when Darrall hooked a large fish and turned the rod over to his son Lathan. He was having a hard time with the rod so I gave him a little assistance, but for the most part he done it all for himself. The 21.3 lb scamp grouper which.... Read More
First of all I would like to thank Venice for the wonderful service, bait, and the new uniforms. I went out with Todd, Jay, Trey, and Jay. We went out in search of Amberjack and found them at the first rig. We were fighting the waves after the little huge rain storm that had blinding rain for about 10min. Relentless Charters beat me to the rig that I wanted to fish, but we tag teamed the rig.... Read More
Day 5 of our trip. The red snapper and mangroves were hungry today. We caught the 6 man limit of red snapper and plenty (14) mangrove. The biggest mangrove of the week! Also got a few white trout and several sharks. A lot of stuff got torn up, 3rd rod of the week was also broken.
We are here in Grand Isle for a week so I will fill you in on what we are catching. Sunday night pull in and fish til 4 a.m. catch 42 trout under the bridge. Wake up at 7:30 a.m. go after the endangered red snapper and catch a 5 man limit or 8-15 pounders, 3 mangroves, 2 cobia and 5 triggers. Come in and get about 4 hrs or sleep and go after the trout under the bridge. The white trout about.... Read More
We got a late start today from Hopedale around 7:30. Right off the bat we hit a school of 12-20' trout; mostly in the 16-20" range; and then off like a light switch at 9:30 with 43 in the chest. Miles upon miles of rough windy shoreline and 15 more hard earned specks in the box we decided to call it a day at 4:00. If it weren't for that school we sure would have had a hard time fighting.... A good trip with family and friends. The snapper were kind of small around the 8lb mark. The action came from the school of 30lb kings. As soon as we got our bait in the water these beasts would send our reels screaming for mercy. Two guys I had in the boat were from Monroe and we kept 2 of the 15 that we caught to send home with them. The cobia came in pairs. The first came from me free.... Read More
