Quick report. Had Janet and Mike from Idaho on board the Triple Threat. Yep, all the way from Idaho. Janet had set up the trip of inshore fishing, offshore fishing and lodging at Saltgrass as a birthday present to her husband. Unfortunately the weather was not the greatest so we opted to stay 'fairly close'. The decision was a good one as Wade and I had two exhausted fishermen after.... Read More
This time of year the weather is the major factor for offshore fishing. When its decent and we can get out, the fishing has been good but unfortunately we have had to reschedule many of our customers due to the conditions. Hopefully things will get better soon.
The previous week was good and even though we fished in some heavy downpours we caught really nice fish. The Triple Treat.... Read More
Had Todd Dempsey and gang on the Deja Vu this past Saturday for Josh and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Left out early and made a direct line for the snapper hole. Took a minute to get things going but we made pretty quick work out of a nice limit of red snapper before the boat show arrived. With that out of the way, we headed south to see what the gulf had to offer. Stopped at.... Read More
Quick report from the last few days. The fishing was kind of hit or miss. The Yellow fin Tuna were extremely finicky but limits of Red Snapper came very quick. Best of all, the Mahi are showing up in good numbers. We did manage to land of few really nice fish including a 165lb yellow fin tuna a 38lb Bull Dolphin and a 21.5lb Red Snapper as well as some nice cobia and some huge black fin tuna.... Read More
Headed down to Venice for a 5 day stretch but we do have Tuesday June 4th available. If anyone would like to get in on some Yellow Fin, Mahi Mahi and Red Snapper action give me a shout. Enclosed are a few pics from last Saturday with Ronnie Forsyth and his great group.
Appears the wahoo have really decided to chew with this last lunar cycle. Even with some extremely rough conditions we were still able to put 12 beautiful hooters in the box and probably lost another 5 (thatís wahoo fishing) over the last couple of days. The color and type of bait didnít seem to matter as we caught fish on both Bombers and X-Raps in a wide variety of patterns. Just remember to.... Read More
From Capt. Tommy's report as well as a report from another captain just received along with the past few days catches, the wahoo bite has turned on really hard and will probably continue for the next week. If you ever wanted wahoo, this may be your best shot. If you want to go, we have the following days open. Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday and then Next Tuesday! I believe all days will be good for.... Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to have some of our trips blown out around this weekend and the first part of next week due to the high winds and seas but we do have open boats available for the following weekend of Nov 3rd-4th. These strong winds couldn't come at a worse time with all the incredible fishing but hopefully November will just be a continuation of October. Some really.... Read More
Tuna are still pretty much everywhere. No matter which direction we have been travelling we have been seeing a lot of fish. Some days they chew better than others but they are definitely out there in full force. We are catching our tuna on live pogies, hardtails and discos with some fish coming off red meat and Angry Poppers. The Mahi have definitely showed up in.... Read More
