Looks like the weather offshore is going to get nasty for Sunday. We have an open boat for this Thursday and the weather looks pretty good. NOAA's report for THURSDAY

Appears the wahoo have really decided to chew with this last lunar cycle. Even with some extremely rough conditions we were still able to put 12 beautiful hooters in the box and probably lost another 5 (that’s wahoo fishing) over the last couple of days. Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to have some of our trips blown out around this weekend and the first part of next week due to the high winds and seas but we do have open boats available for the following weekend of Nov 3rd-4th. Venice Offshore Report
Tuna are still pretty much everywhere. No matter which direction we have been travelling we have been seeing a lot of fish. Some days they chew better than others but they are definitely out there in full force. We are catching our tuna on live pogies, hardtails and discos with some fish coming off red meat and Angry Poppers. The Mahi have definitely showed up in.... Read More

Quick report and pictures from past trips. Fishing is great right now for the most part with the only exception being the occasional weather issue. With that said, the fish are here and are hungry. Tuna are still thick at the floaters and are taking pogies, chunks of red meat, and a few are falling for Angry Poppers. Dolphin are here as well but not as thick as hopefully they will be.... The offshore fishing out of Venice is good right now and should stay that way right through the summer. Yellowfin fishing has been fairly consistent with a lot of 30 to 40lbers but also with some really nice triple digit fish thrown in to keep things exciting. Good Fishing Continues!
Capt Josh hit it yesterday even though conditions were marginal at best. They Yellow Fin were not as aggressive as they were the day before but the guys persistence paid off and they got the bite they were looking for. A 150lb pig plus 10 nice Black Fin and a limit of big jacks made for a nice box of fish and some tired customers. We apologize for the poor picture.... Read More

Déjà vu dialed in!
With the new moon cycle, Capt. Josh figured the wahoo would be willing to play and they didn't disappoint. The crew ended up with 8 wahoo (the biggest at 80lbs), a limit of big jacks and some stud black fin tuna. The fishing is good right now and should continue over the next several months. Contact your favorite charter captain and book a trip!

We will post more detailed reports after the weekend. Yesterday Capt. Josh had a group from Ohio on board the Déjà vu. Turned out the long drive was worth it. They caught 4 wahoo(losing several others) one of which went 90lbs! 5 hammer jacks and plenty of 20lb blackfin tuna. Remember, you have got to change those hooks on the wahoo baits.
