Winds died down Friday afternoon and my daughter was after me to take her bowfishing, so we went make a short trip in Golden Meadow. I let my lil girl and my son do the majority of the shooting and we called it quits in 2 1/2 hrs with:
11 Reds
2 - Drum
1 - Speck
22 Sheepheads

Made a bowfishing trip. Found the blue cats up on the mud flats. Shot 48 blue cats, 3 redfish, 4 sheepheads, 5 common carp and 2 alligator gars. Biggest gar measured 7' 10' and weighed in @ 208# on a non certified scale.

OK guys, this is an idea that I've been thinking on and would just like to get a feel for how many if any of ya'll would use a set up like this.

Just got off the phone with a buddy that is doing the clean up. The group that his boat is with consists of 26 - 50' +/- local trawl boats. They have been roaming and searcing for oil along the coast between the Houma Nav Channel and Timbaleir Islands for over 2 weeks with NO oil sighted, until recently. While this whole experience is tragic, at least a little good is coming out of it. I personally know 2 people that have been laid off for 6 months and are now working as cleanup crew. This is only 1 good thing out of thousands of terrible things, but some people need to take advantage of the situation. Finally Made a short bowfishing trip Monday 26th. Conditions were tough, windy and semi-dirty water made the fishing tough. We still managed to box 8 reds & 4 heads. We scratched on the black drum, only seen 2 of them and they were too close to 16' to chance shooting them. I'm having a problem with an air cooled engine and hoping someone might have some helpfull input. I'm switching from a gravity feed fuel system to a pump. I baught a 12 volt in-line fuel pump. It is the lowest psi pump available, pushing 3.5 - 5.5 psi. The problem is, the pump will force the float open and flood the engine. Congrats to Lisa on her first deer. She was in a box stand in a 4 year old cut-over looking over a food plot when this nice 7 pt made the ultimate mistake. She made a perfect shot @ 75 yards +/- a few. Now we have a new life long hunting member among us. Kajun
