05/22/2013 Hopedale Report
As most of you know, the MRGO rocks in Hopedale have been on fire. Had to go see for myself. I hadn't been to Hopedale since last fall so I was certainly looking forward to fishing out there. Phillip, Chase, and I arrived at BSM around 6:00 A.M. and were running down the spoil canal by 6:30.

I got a lot to do so I am gonna make this report short. Fished hard today and fount fish at two spots between fouchon and grand isle. There was bait everywhere and the weather was gorgeous. The fish bit in spurts of 2-3 fish but I grinded it out and put together a solid box of fish using carolina rigged TKO's and cast netted some live shrimp which.... Read More

Another cold and windy and numbing day out of BAIT INC. off of Paris road in Chalmette. Not much changed from yesterday's weather to today. Only good thing was today we had some sun shining through on us!

I feel like a broken record but once again we had an amazing trip out of Bait INC. in Bayou Bienvenue. We fished the ICW and Lake Borgne and caught fish until we were tired of catching fish. Mike, Ryan, Nick, and I got on some nice sized trout early in the A.M. in the ICW then fished the shoreline of Lake Borgne around Bayou Magill to top off the box. Been on a 2 day work binge with only a couple hours of sleep since thursday night hahah I got off work tonight around 6:30 and got a phone call from my buddy Ryan and he wanted to to go a little night fishing out by the lake off the bank. Awesome day in Bayou Bienvenue today. Fished with good friends Phillip Dewenter and Andre Thomas(known as Blackbear31 on here). We fished the ICW today using TKO's, Matrix Shads, Swimbaits, etc. and put together a 75 trout limit with some real nice trout too.
Makes it an easy day when your fishing with two great fisherman. Gonna give em a shot tomorrow morning. Will let yall how we do.

What a day! Phillip, Chris, and I have been on a awesome bite in Bayou B and today was no exception.
We fished from 7 am to 11 am and put a hurtin on some real real nice sized trout!
We fished the ICW and MRGO with matrix shads, TKO shrimp, and Live shrimp. Tide was falling, weather was great and no GNATS!

Just wanted to let everyone know the fish are definitely biting in Bayou Bienvenue. Fish the ledges of the ICWW from the chef to the new locks and you will find some fish if you are persistent.
Fish carolina rigged or dribble a jig-head with a matrix shad down the drop off. If you can afford live bait, that will work too. Just move until you find them and when you do you should be able to put.... Read More

Fished Bayou Bienvenue for the first time this season and fount plenty beautiful fish at a few of my winter time spots! Had a guy who is new to fishing with us and it felt great to see the smiles he had from the trout catching action!
