Applications for fall turkey hunting can now be downloaded from the Mississippi Game and Fish Dept. Own or lease 100 acres or more to get an either sex permit. 100-500 acres =1 permit. 501-1000=2 permits and so on. Season is around Oct.26-Nov 12 and Dec 2-Dec 15. Archery or shotgun only.

Well I got my tags today. It took about 3 weeks. Numbers 9....
Reading the Mississippi Game and Fish website if you hunt in SW Miss. Wilkinson,Adams, and a few more counties. You can get an either sex turkey permit for the fall season if you own or lease the land. It's one permit for the first 100 or more acres up to 500 and another one for each 500 more. If you have 550 you can get 2 tags. 1050, 3 tags. and so on. But you have to have at least 100 acres to.... Read More

Got my 153BC (unofficial) back today. Gonna get him scored for the Mississippi Record Book this summer. Hope he stays above 150. My taxidermist says it gonna be real close. Also here once again is a live shot of him, first sighting 3 weeks before I got him, and one of my 139BC killed 10 years ago. They share some of the same traits with their split brow tines being very similar.

Looking to see if someone with a pack of rabbit dogs who needs a place to go before the season ends. We had a hunt lined up for this past sunday and the guy got sick. No one has hunted rabbits in 10 years on our place and they are thick. After 3 weeks of first getting this BIG BUCK on one of my camaras, I got lucky and got him Wednesday afternoon. There must be alot of ducks in the state. I've lived on a 12 acre lake surrounded by houses for three winters now and this is the first time we've had this many ducks fly in. There must be 300 teal flying in before dark for the last 3 days. Pretty neat.
