Once again snapper season has come and gone but not without giving the trophies of the gulf. On board was Bill Johnson, Sue Johnson, Travis Brashear, Jeanette Johnson, Craig Steltz and Lindsey Steltz. Dodging a few storms we left the marina at 11 am and headed for the west delta area where we found lots of fish ready to take our baits. Great friends, great trip.

My livewell is about 24 inches across and is a perfect circle. I am unable to keep bait alive. I do not have a recirculation pump but before installing one was hoping some of u could help me with this problem. Thanks

Real nice not having to run 60 miles to catch fish and as a bonus being able to catch and keep red snapper. Left out from fourchon early sat morning with a small chop in the gulf waters. Made a couple of stops to catch live bait and went in search of AJs. 6 or more boats at the first rig we pulled up to, didnt look like much action was going on so we headed a lil west to a rig all to ourselves..... What a great day it was friday to be on the water. Despite the recent storms the gulf was calm and we made the long run from cocodrie to outside the closed boundary line. Great trip saturday with friends. Headed south and began hitting rigs between 10 and 15 miles out. The fish were hungry and cooperative. Worked our way west then back to the launch. Enjoy the pics.
Finally back in the water after a few months of bad weather and the boat being in the shop getting repowered. Sunday waves were not the best but we managed to get out in the 3 ft seas and catch some nice fish. 4 ajs and 2 grouper. Down side was that we lost more tackle than caught fish but all in all it was a good day on the water.

Had a great time fishing with my buddies from Outcast Marine during the Tarpon Rodeo. Fished thursday and friday and although we had good catches both days i decided to sit saturday out on land just taking in the sites, walking the beach in the rain and relaxing. Grand Isle has a lot more to offer than just great fishing. Will be looking forward to next year.

Took a chance on the weather thursday to get back offshore and was not dissappointed. The seas were not bad and with six of us on board we headed out from bridgeside marina. Out catch for the day was amberjacks, grouper, beeliners, and lemon fish. Caught some really nice red snapper, shame the season is closed. Ended the day with a nice box of fish. They will surely taste good on the grill this.... Read More

Left out of bridgeside marina sunday morning with the gps and radar in full use. The fog was thick and showed no signs of letting up. Left caminada pass and made our first stop at about 50 miles. Could hardly see anything but we managed to troll for a while and after no luck we decided to move another 10 miles. Again no luck trolling so we decided to try some other species and found the action.... Read More

The weather man had given a bad report for friday but after almost two months since our last trip nothing was going to keep us from the open gulf. Left venice marina in the fog and reached the gulf to find smooth seas all day. The wahoo were not to be found so we landed some AJs, an 80lb yellowfin, and a couple blackfin.

how far from the pass do you have to go to catch aj,....
Looking for information on water conditions and fish being caught in the Ewing bank area and South timbalier. Thanks for any info you can provide.
Wednesday morning Bill Johnson and I ventured to port sulphur for the first time since katrina. Tide was moving very well in the morning hours and we landed 35- 2 to 3 lb trout until the water stopped moving then the bite was off and we headed home. Hope to head in that direction again on sat for another round of good fishing.

Hey, glad you caught. Where did you launch and catch the....
The fish are starting to turn on in the lake. Even with the winds we were able to catch 36 really nice trout in just a few hrs in the afternoon. 1.5-3.5 lbs.

Had a great trip over the weekend and the weather finally cooperated for a change. In the box was 9 AJs and 1 32lb grouper. Best trip we have had in quite some time. Looking for the weather to change as we enter the spring allowing for more days like today.

Beautiful weekend on the water. Headed out of bridgeside marina on sunday straight to the lump to find the action slow. 1-tuna lost and 1- boated along with some beliners. Left there for some rig fishing and found lots of amberjack and grouper. Can't wait for next weekend.
