Well guys, no pictures to post but I did fish the trestle yesterday from 11:00 till 6:00. Lake waters a light chop...yeah right. 3 to 4 ft. rollers were coming through the trestles. What fish we caught were near drawbridge area. After throwing all the usual baits, Purple Bayou Chubs with chartreuse tail was the only thing I SAW a fish caught on. I heard the something about the boat ramps were closed @ Williams and Bonnabel due to levee work or something. If anyone knows the details please let me know. Hey Wayne, I was at the Bonnabel launch last week, it is....
I heard the sacalait were biting in the 3 canals on the west side of lake Verret that are below the Shell Beach Landing. Went today with my daughter and her friend. No one was catching any sacalait by there were lots of small bass in the breaux canal. My daughter caught 2 keeper bass on shiners. If you venture in Breax Canal stay on step for about 50 yards through the mouth, it is about 2 feet.... Read More

Well everyone, I see it appears the puppy scammers are back on the classifieds just in time for Christmas. Everyone beware of things that seem too good to be true, they usually are. Please don't lose your hard earned Christmas money to this trash. Merry Christmas to all.
Just saw where 2 men hit a submerged object in Bull Tail off Grand River yesterday with their 14 ft. bateau. Both were thrown into water and drowned. Bodies recovered 2 hours later. It's a shame because wearing a life jacket would have prevented this. I know they are hot, but I also know from experience, you can't swim when you have been knocked out. Such a shame.
