The blood deep crew had a good hunt sunday too. We fell short on our limits due to poor shooting but it was still great. We enden up with a mixed bag of 10 birds and one nice mottled duck for the wall! The action was not that fast but still enough shooting to keep us on our toes!!! Now to decide, ducks or deer this weekend!!

Made a solo trip to grand isle saturday. It was a really fun trip. only took home seven trout but the fish were there. I must have lost about 20 fish! I think my rod was too stiff so the trout were pulling off the hook. I started fishing a whit and red jig and only picked up one fish. Here are a couple of pics from henderson on Sat. Had a fun day with ultra light tackle and a can of worms. The fish were biting. Due to the fish kills recently, and the poor conditions of the fishery I released all fish to spawn and fight another day!

I am looking into doing some hunting on a few select WMA's this year. I was wondering if you can feed and use trail cameras on the WMA's. I am not looking to feed corn but can I put out a small bag of feed to make the deer stop for a clean shot with my recurve? I have a couple of spots where i know man never goes (except for me) so I am not afraid of my camera being stolen. Any info.... Read More

Had a nice trip to intercostal over the holidays! Caught some big catfish on the trot lines and killed six teal and a snow goose in the fog. We had our limit of teal in 12 min.

Well it seems my favorite hunting buddy decided he wanted to go hunting without me this morning and he ran off before the sun came up. He is a Male yellow lab w/ a camo collar. There is a tag with his name and phone number on it but it is to chewed up to read. His name is buck and we live on Girard park drive in Lafayette.

Had a couple of fun hunts! The hunting has been slow but enjoyable! The Fishing made the trip nice today. I think the weather change tomorrow will help for the birds!

The blood deep crew was back at it this weekend in henderson! While we patiently await the teal and deer opener, we decided we were hungry for some pan fish fillets.
We caught pretty good before the weather blew us off the lake! Headin down to rockafella for the 4th so hopefully i will have a good report next week too.

Does anyone know of anything I can plant in the marsh on spoil banks that deer would like? I'm thinking of doing a little plot of some sort. Not much will grow in the brakish marsh and my deer don't eat corn. The spoil banks are high enough that they will not flood. Any suggestions?
