Is Fin and Feather in Venice still opertational? Its been over a year since Ive been there but Im looking to get back down to their cabins. Tried to contact them via their website but got no response. Capt. Kirk always took good care of us.

I just returned to my camp after pulling two young guys out of the water after sinking their boat. Crossing the Pen with the winds this bad in a 14 ft flat is probably not the smartest decision someone could make. Their desire to fish over ruled their judgement and they paid a heavy price. Gentlemen, I have some questions about this game. Unofrtunately I have been in Germany since October and due to the government I cannot watch any ball games. Need some help gents. Have a bachelor party to plan and was looking for a guide for an overnight bowfishing trip for 8-10 guys. I have q camp in lafitte so close to there would be great because we wouldn't need lodging. However, I hear Venice is where it's at!! I have a 2000 Yamaha R1 that needs a tune up with carbs syncd and the whole bike just run through. I live on the Westbank of New Orleans and the closest spot charges $70 an hour and doesnt have a good reputation. As a college student I cant afford that price. Does anyone have any info on a good sportbike mechanic at a resonable price in the New Orleans area? Thanks in advance sportsmen.
My friend has a 24 horse Go Devil longshaft on his duck hunting boat. Its a little underpowered for his boat so I usually carry his load to and from the blind. The main problem with his boat is that it takes so much muscle to keep his prop in the water. He literally has to prop his leg on his aft bench, lay the handle of the motor on his leg and push up as hard as possible to keep the prop in.... Read More

I have to admit this second split has been much better than the first. Saturday morning I was enjoying a good day in the blind with the girlfriend. Just before ending my hunt I heard shots that were entirely too close to be a neighboring lease. When I left I went to investigate. Just wanted to put this out for anyone near the Westbank or Nawlins, I had a gentleman named Mr. Joe in Marrero make deer sausage for me and I have to admit its the best Ive ever had. He doesnt smoke it but Im ok with that. I was pretty nervous going into this deal with him because the price was extremely cheap.
