I just had some work done on my hunting rifle before the season starts and wanted to share. Its not often I do this but I'm extremely satisfied with the work. He polished the feed ramp, the action, and the safety. To finish it off he installed a new stock and applied a beautiful Cerakote finish. I love it. Highly recommend this gentleman to tune up your rifle before the season starts. .... Read More

I'm not exactly sure of the size I want because I have no idea how much these buildings can run. Any info on who to call and more.... Read More

Is Fin and Feather in Venice still opertational? Its been over a year since Ive been there but Im looking to get back down to their cabins. Tried to contact them via their website but got no response. Capt. Kirk always took good care of us.
Any given day on any given outdoors media the cries to get the youth of America involved in hunting and fishing can be heard. The fear of these sports becoming extinct is frightening and intolerable. To combat these fears many of us have taken to openly volunteering to introduce young boys and girls to a passtime that we all cherish dearly. I am one of these volunteers. However, I find it.... I just returned to my camp after pulling two young guys out of the water after sinking their boat. Crossing the Pen with the winds this bad in a 14 ft flat is probably not the smartest decision someone could make. Their desire to fish over ruled their judgement and they paid a heavy price. Know the limitations of your abilities and your gear. Check the weather and make informed decisions. .... Read More

As I sit in my hotel 6000 miles away and read the reports and enjoy the pictures I cant help but feel homesick. As many of you are, I am a product of Southern Louisiana. I have a 2000 Yamaha R1 that needs a tune up with carbs syncd and the whole bike just run through. I live on the Westbank of New Orleans and the closest spot charges $70 an hour and doesnt have a good reputation. As a college student I cant afford that price. Does anyone have any info on a good sportbike mechanic at a resonable price in the New Orleans area? Thanks in advance sportsmen.
My friend has a 24 horse Go Devil longshaft on his duck hunting boat. Its a little underpowered for his boat so I usually carry his load to and from the blind. The main problem with his boat is that it takes so much muscle to keep his prop in the water. He literally has to prop his leg on his aft bench, lay the handle of the motor on his leg and push up as hard as possible to keep the prop in.... Read More
Just wanted to put this out for anyone near the Westbank or Nawlins, I had a gentleman named Mr. Joe in Marrero make deer sausage for me and I have to admit its the best Ive ever had. He doesnt smoke it but Im ok with that. I was pretty nervous going into this deal with him because the price was extremely cheap. I couldnt be happier with the product I received, and Ive had a LOT of deer.... Read More

I have to admit this second split has been much better than the first. Saturday morning I was enjoying a good day in the blind with the girlfriend. Just before ending my hunt I heard shots that were entirely too close to be a neighboring lease. When I left I went to investigate. I found a bayboat with 5 guys anchored in a canal that splits our lease. They were out there shooting teal that.... Read More
Fellow sportsmen, I am a student at the University of New Orleans and have been tasked with writing a research paper for my final.
