My dad killed this 10 point this morning. Wasnt on stand 10 min when him and a doe came walking by. this is his first deer with his crossbow.

This is one of the best seasons we had in a while. we hunt the swamps of Napoleonville. The season after they came out with the tagging system we went from seeing at least 1 deer per hunt to 1 deer every 10 hunts. Everyone in the area were slaughtering does. Killed this lil 7 point this morning at 8:30 chaseing a doe. The rut is most definitely on in area 6. I also heard what i gess was a buck chaseing a doe in the swamp.

She and another doe stepped into the food plot at 4:50. let her get to the feed and let the ole smoke pole take over from there. She went 76.4 pounds. Talk about will make some tender meat.

this is behind my aunts house. we usually see 4 or 5 deer every evening. lets hope they come out like this doing hunting season.

this past weekend we went to the marsh to get some rabbits. we ended up with 60. the night came and we decided to go try and get some frogs. well good thing we went cause they were out. we ended up with 240. all big frogs we keep maybe 3 small frogs.

Shot another deer with my bow. Thats the second one in 3 days. Ishot a doe yesterday evening. Came about 20 yards from my stand. I hit it kind of in the front of the shoulder. Found good blood till a big ditch. I figured it crossed the ditch. It was getting late so i decided to come back in the morning. Went to go around the ditch to see if i could pick up some more blood and there she was.

My first bow kill ever. Got on stand at 5pm and shot at 5:40pm. It came 15 yards from the stand. shot it a little far front but it just cliped the lung. It ran about 70 to 80 yards thats where it laid to rest. I never knew bow hunting can be that exciting. My heart was just about to jump out of my chest. I hate to see if a big one would step out.
