Anyone know of a deer processer in the Acadiana Area that does a Hunters for the Hungry donation type thing where you drop your deer with them and they get it into the right hands? I've got more deer meat than I need already and my two boys have not killed anything yet.
I'd be willing to pay a small fee to help folks out but I don't want to incur the full processing costs just to give it away.

Can anyone give me a ballpark estiment on what it costs to sink a water well sufficient to run a 3 br trailer house? I have power available to the lot but no public water.

it depends on how deep they need to go to get to good....

Scotts ATV in Scott without a doubt.
Tried to wet a line and drown some turkey necks at Rockefeller on Saturday. Only managed to scratch together 16 crabs and a few drum to throw back. Anyone else do any better? How was rollover?

Looking for suggestions. Are there are any perennials you would suggest planting in late January in north Louisiana. A gas company is cutting a pipeline ROW through our hunting property but won't be done until the middle of our season. We were thinking of waiting until after our season ends to plant something to avoid forcing the deer out of the area with all of the commotion.

Perhaps my stupidity will help someone else here avoid some pain.
I was sighting in my new crossbow yesterday and I thought I had my fingers out of the way but my thumb apparently moved up as I was concentrating on the sight picture through the scope.
Got popped by the string. Took off my nail, tore up my thumb and broke the tip of my thumb.
Won't let this happen again!

Okay, since no one apparently rents party barges, does anyone know of a guide in the GI area that specializes in large groups or runs multiple boats.

there is no one from new orleans on down to grand isle....
Does anyone know of any prohibition against setting out a few crab traps off the beach at GI? I know you can't do it at the refuges but I'd like to put out a few while we are out fishing for the day.
Looking to raise a camp at Cypermort Point. Does anyone in the area know of a contractor that does this? Also, any idea on cost?
