Launched around 0600 and headed to our favorite trout spot.Found low, cold water and not a single bite. Water temp was 15 degrees colder than last weekend,so we decided to go after some reds and allow the water to warm up a little to see if the trout would turn on a little later. Found reds stacked up and running the shoreline at our first stop but they wouldnt hit anything we threw at them.We.... Read More

Launched this morning before day break hoping for a great day with warm water and light winds. Well it started that way but soon enough it was white capping in the marsh.Tired of fighting the wind and watching the water get dirtier by the minute we decided to call it a day at 10am with 2 reds and 6 drum in the box.

Fished the Rigolets area Sunday for a few hours.Very foggy and cold.Stuck close to the dock and caught a few reds and one trout. All caught just dragging the bottom at a snails pace in about 20 ft of water. Tiger bait matrix shad and shrimp creole was what was working.
Launched around 0730 with a steady drizzle of rain.Hoping the weather man would be right and the rain would taper off around 0800. Well if there was a 30% chance of rain after 0800 it must have been all in my boat. Rained the entire time, got ran in twice by thunderstorms but still put a few in the box. Called it a day around 12 with 26 on board.
launched around 7am to a very cold, windy, foggy morning. Water was low and stained , headed to some pipeline canals and didnt get a bite. moved around a bit a landed a couple. Launched from rigolets marina Sunday morning with the wife around 0600. NO live shrimp. Hit a couple spots in the marsh picking up one red. Decided to try a bayou near Lake Borgne and as soon as we pulled up I saw shrimp being chased out of the water with trout in hot pursuit. Caught twelve nice ones with only a few throw backs and the feeding frenzy was over in about 15 minutes. Couldnt get on.... Read More
What storm? Launched both days out of Rigolets Marina and headed to the marsh. Saturday was a lot more windy than Sunday was, but we got soaked Sunday. Saw a few more boats out but not many, I think the weatherman scared most people away. No limits caught , but we caught some really nice fish and at least a hundred 11-11.5 throwback trout and probably 20-25 rat reds. Had a blast both days!!!
Launched out of Jugs Marina about 0630am and headed out.First stop didnt produce anything.Second stop we start picking off a few here and there.
