Knocked the real out all weekend. Like mosquitoes all on the PAC. I'm still looking for a north louisiana hunt, possibly somewhere that's accessible by truck or atv. Shoot me an email if anyone knows anywhere! Thanks yall.
Made a trip saturday to golden meadow and got quick limits of reds. Two man limit by 8:30. All caught on spinners and avocado and chartreuse bayou chubs.
Went make a few drifts for trout with a bunch of throwbacks. Had a bunch of people chasing birds and this one bassboat running right into them and screwing the bite up. Ended up with about half a dozen trout after all the throwbacks.
Made a trip out with dad Saturday morning and opted to try out fishin the beach instead of Golden Meadow or Leeville. One stop and had our two man limit of trout by 7:30. Nothing can beat a good fishing trip with family and quick limits.
Left the launch a little after daylight Saturday morning with plans to head to Bayou Chinois for some specs, but with the wind blowing a little too much and the water muddied up, decided to head in for some reds. We found crystal clear water on the north side of the lake and feeding reds. We sight fished most of the morning and ended up with only 3 keeper reds and 2 drum. Threw back probably....
i'm emailing bret allain as you read this for him to pull this bill. because NOAA believes our fisheries are dire? and not because the feds want to elimite snapper season entirely and punish us for going against their will? hmmmm
so its planning mode. what are some good outfitters? we hunt every weekend in either lake boeuf, wax or PAC reserve but the lucky guy wants to book an outfitter for either ducks and goose or just goose. and hes requesting to harvest some curls too. first thing that came to mind was covey rise being its close, but are open to other options. really trying to stay away from the greys and teal....
