Does anybody know what day(s) Troy Landry will be at the Sportsman Show? I see that he will be there from noon to 4 but it does not say which day. My daughter threatened to slit my throat while I sleep if I do not bring her...She takes after her mama that way.

For any of you thinking you might want to go to the boat show at the River Center, let me offer some advice. Stay home and pull your toenails out one at a time. And for goodness sake don't wire any money or deal with anyone who says they are out of the country and will ship you merchandise. Once you wire money, it's gone and there's nothing you (or site administrators) can do at that point.
Remember: If a deal is too good to be true, it probably is a scam.

A buddy of mine has invited me on an offhsore trip with Hardison's for September 17th. I know red snapper will be closed and lemonfish will be pretty thick then, but what else is there that can be targeted? Isn't there a season on AL's now? He said we will be going about 50 miles out. That time of the year, won't we be deep enough to catch tuna?

A buddy of mine is wanting to book an offshore trip for late August/early September. Am I wrong in thinking that that is a bad time of year? Iknow red snapper will be closed. What about other species? Will amberjack still be open? I went once that time of the year and the only thing we caught was a few lemonfish.
