Wow what a wonderful day in Delacroix today. All the charter boat captains basically limited out. Some customers limited out. Then there were the ones who had close to their limit. Overall it was some awesome fishing today. Our shrimp situation is scarce again the tanks approximately have 2500 shrimp. Yesterday Captain Jack fished on the outside and caught 57 trout. They decided to come on the inside and fish for reds. They ended up catching 20 reds. The weather has been outstanding this past week. Fishing has been countless. Jack has been doing charters these past 3 weeks. Things are starting to pick up around here fast. We had a couple captains go out today. One captain mentioned that it was pretty tough. He ended up coming back with a mixed box. Consisted of some trout, red, and drum. The weather is finally looking up for Delacroix. Bright skies and calm winds. Captain Jack fished with Mr. Gary from Paradise Louisiana on Tuesday. Today’s start to the day wasn’t too fond. We had Heavy rain and lots of lightning. What I can say is that Once the weather cleared up that’s when the boats started to trickle in. Yesterday people did really well fishing out of Sweetwater. Some had limits of trouts some reds and some just had a mix of fish. Today Jack fished with Jim Ponti and his buddy Joe from Texas. They caught a limit of reds in an hour and a half So they decided to go trout fishing. They actually ended up getting hit by bad weather. Overall total today was 15 reds, 2 trout, and 3 drums. Todays fishing wasn’t bad – but not great either. Captain Jack had charters this morning and this afternoon. They headed out to American Bay and this morning caught 25 trout and 9 reds. This afternoon was a little better with 29 trout and 7 reds. Capt Jack has charter’s booked all week, so he will be keeping everyone up to date on fishing conditions and where the fish are biting. What a beautiful day today down in Delacroix at Sweetwater. 20 mph predicted NW winds turned out to be light winds. As a result some fishermen had really great trips. Today Captain Jack fished with Brad Miller, his dad (Brad), and a friend. Conditions were quite tough as they ended the day with about 40 trout. I know it has been windy, but the fishing is just great in Delacroix. We have beautiful Sweetwater shrimp, probably about 5 or 6 thousand in the tank. The conditions are rough, but great. I know it has been a while since we have posted a report. Things at Sweetwater have been nonstop crazy. The boat launch is 50% complete and is on it’s on its way to being a spectacular boat launch. We’ve had lots of issues with the machine, one issue cost $11,000. So another machine was brought down and the driver tore that machine up. We have 11 sheet pilings to pull up today and it is not.... From the looks of how things are going down here at the marina, unfortunately the boat launch will not be up and running through the week and weekend. The bait shop will still be open to anglers for bait and tackle, etc. You can launch at Serigne's and come down to Sweetwater and purchase your live shrimp. Sorry for the inconvenience at the moment. We will keep you guys updated

Captain Jack headed out today on this beautiful day with Mr. Reid’s crew. Their catch consisted of 47 beautiful trout, 7 reds, a bass, and a fresh water cat. They left trout biting to go find reds, which was pretty difficult. If they would have stayed trout fishing they would have easily caught 100. Don’t forget the launch is closed until further notice, but the bait shop is still open..... Read More

Mr. John Hazard paid for some friends today to go fishing. Captain Jack took them out and it was a grand day. They ended up with 37 trout and two nice reds. Lost a couple nice reds and lost way more trout then they caught. It was their first time going fishing. They didn’t kill them although they had an opportunity to, but they had a great time. Thousands of live shrimp at Sweetwater. We will sell to anyone whom needs them, no matter where you launch/ who you are. Also, Captain Jack and Randall went out to scout for tomorrow’s trip and to run Jacks motor. They fished for a couple hours picked up some nice fish. Catch today was 25. Charters and lodging are still available. Call ASAP, as spots are filling fast.
Today has been a good day for the most part. Plenty people went out fishing and came back happy. Majority of the boats today caught fish.
