We will have live bait for tomorrow. Capt. Jack took his shrimp boat out for a trial run today and they did pretty well for a first run. Going to make a few minor adjustments and head out again tomorrow. We will keep you posted on the bait situation for the weekend.

Capt. Jack did pretty well on his charter this morning. They left the launch at Sweetwater Marina in Delacroix at about 5:30 this morning and headed to Pointe Fienne. The totals for the day were 20 Reds, 4 Sheephead, 3 Trout and 10 Bass. All fish were caught with live shrimp under a popping cork. So if you are up for braving the weather we would love to see you.
The fishing today at Sweetwater Marina in Delacroix was a little rough. Anglers did catch some fish, but it wasn’t easy. The good news is the fishing conditions should be improving over the next couple days and through the weekend. Capt. Jack is fishing tomorrow and Friday, so we should have a good report with some firsthand pointers for the weekend’s fishing.

Today’s fishing was pretty good. We only had about 10 launches and about ˝ of them were fishing for Reds. Some caught limits, but most just caught a few. Those fishing for Trout averaged 25 – 30 with one boat bringing in 67. Trout were caught in Black Bay; Reds were caught in the interior marshes.

But for the most part the fishing was still pretty tough with only a handful of anglers catching their limits and most of those limits were Reds, not many Trout.
