I'm new to duck hunting, and I'm going to be hunting flooded timber. I'm just wondering what kind of ducks to expect, and if there are any tips yall think would be helpful. I've already got some woody decoys and a pirogue if that helps any.

Today was a very memorable day in the woods. While inspecting some fresh deer tracks on a ridge that had been flooded by the high water i caught sight of what i thought was a yote then i realized it was a deer. Son and I just got a Parker, Practicing at 40 yrads, will....
Wanting to make a trip in the next week but havent fished the lake since last summer . I know the water is high , but im goin to give it a shot. Anyone know if the bass or bream are on? i dont want your spots .. just want to know if they are biting.

We usually catch them on white beetle spins.
The water in the bayous and canals near my house are overflowing with water ...literally .. anybody know if it would be a good idea to try and catch some bream in the the deeper flooded areas .. or am I wasting my time?
How many of yall out there think that it would be some fun to bait in a few big racoons with some leftover rice bran or corn. Im planning on tryin my luke with my bow. If now ive got a .22 that will do the trick.
I need some tried and true bowhunters help on this one guys. I got a friend and his bow only goes up tp 50 lbs. Which broadhead yall think would fly best. 3 1/2 in vanes if that helps for anything.

As for fixed blades, Muzzy is one of the best all around....
Do any of yall think that its close to possible to make your own duck hole. there is a break in some cypress near my house and its has patches of small willows that could be easily cut. If i cleared it .. do yall think any ducks would come in? If so how long do yall think it would take?

I hunt flooded cypress and we find that the ducks come to....

Took a trip today and did good exept for the huge number of throwbacks.The trout were there but the wind and throwback numbers put us in a bind. We picked up a few reds along the way , but only finished with 18 specks and 4 reds.We tried maybe next time. Until then goodluck and be safe.
Caught a pile of bream today. we caught 103 to be exact. the bite was on worms and crickets late. Good luck to you all. --tbuddy

Went down to bayou corne and tried to make the most of a late start.I fished with jigs since i started mainly for bass but was bream chsin my plug so i picked up my spinning gear and tryed it. But,i couldnt put anything in the boat.I'm going back tommorrow with live bait. Anybody have any suggestions on how deep i need to be fishing around there? and are crickets working better than worms?.... Read More

We caught a few in Turtle Bayou and Copasaw. Water is....
Im itching to get out on the water again.... anybody kno wt stage of the spawn the fish are in? anyway i went to a friends pond this weekend and caught two decent bass on crankbaits but im pretty sure it was the males off of the nest so anyreports on the sage of the spawn the fish are in would help

it varies throughout the spring. there are fish in pre....
The fish are on the beds... pulled a few out of some pockets in thick grass with a wieghtless frog any other techniques on catching prespawn bass and spawning bass would be greatly aprecciated .. Im not to great at it [lol] thanks for anytips pn fishing the spawn
