Got a group going to GI this weekend looking see if any one has some or has heard of some good yak spots. Prolly going to try the surf and the pass other than that im very familiar with the area but new to the kayaking side. any advice or reports would be appreciated

Looking for a good Kayak spot for trout or reds. I Live in Gonzales, LA but my home town is Kinder,LA so I know the area pretty well but I have never fished the area. So long story short looking for a good spot I was thinking of fishing Calcasieu river where it dumps in to the Gulf? Any advice about the area or any other spot recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

I would stay away from the mouth of of the river, alot of....
