Usually I'm not one to spread rumors but if this is true congratulations are in order.
Heard that there is a new Captain in town. CAPTAIN Scott Walker aka Nightfisher!!! If its true I want to be one of the first to congratulate you on all your hard work!!! I have a feeling the trout are in big trouble! Once your all set I would like to be one of your first customers also!!!!

Yes, it matters imo, as for matching or nonmatching it....
So this week I posted a hotspot for JLS that turned out to be the Aquarium as a joke. Most understood the humor but a few (JLS, nofishfearme&allison something got upset) apparently they are upset because they loaded up their gear and getting ready to hit the hotspot but found out it was a joke. Two things about your post that strike me as being pretty....
Anybody driving between LaPlace and Gonzales be careful! Went to cabelas around 6 and headed back around 8. I have never seen so many deer feeding on both sides of the road in my life! My kids lost count at 62!!!! I guess the high water is driving them out. Was some nice bucks mixed in. Also saw a few busted up on the shoulder of the road.

for me i use chartrouse or red heads and i dont like the....

Here is a question for the captains or anyone who has been in the same situation. When you have clients that aren't experienced do you go live bait or artificials? I have some Yankee friends in town and they want to fish. I mainly use artificials but I'm not sure if I should get live shrimp for them. I'm sure their reaction time will be slow and I don't know if I want to spend all day baiting.... Read More

A lot of my clients are inexperienced.I only use live bait....
I have a m/k riptide with copilot. Thinking of adding the Ipilot to it. Anyone have any experience with it? Good or bad comments appreciated.

Launched at BSM yesterday. Found very low and dirty water conditions. Managed 22 trout and I flatty. All caught in Gulp! and tiger bait matrix shad.
Got checked by the game warden. He was very professional, polite and courteous. He told me most he had checked were having hard time filling the box. (Wanted to add this because these guys get a bad reputation)

Looking for a few opinions. I have always used braid on my spinning reals and mono on my bait casters. I was thinking of trying braid on my bait casters but have heard it could become a nightmare. The reason I want to try is when I'm tossing a $7 mirrolure or some of the newly acquired kick a mullets at $13 a whack losing lures could get costly.......

I've fished braid on my baitcasters for a few years now....
This might be a stupid question but...... I'm an avid fisherman and deer hunter but have never hunted ducks. My question is with the duck season approaching what areas around hopedale should I avoid? Does anybody have any suggestions on someone in SE Louisiana that makes custom boxes and enclosures? I'm looking for storage solutions for my boat.
