I went last Saturday morning with my 7 year old daughter to cat fish lake. We started around 8 fished for around 5 hrs only had a few cats. We fished with shrimp on the bottom and on a popping rig about 2 foot down and D.O.A shrimp also. I'm just looking for advice on bait and where would be a good spot to try for trout and reds. i have young kids and wife still nervous about letting them in the boat. went to catfish lake today and notice a few people fishing in the canal behind the park. I was wondering if it holds fish? Any advise would be helpful thanks
