This guy was 40 minutes behind the doe. Its starting.. 30-06 Hornady 165 yards and no blood trail. Found him 200 yards away. Saw another awsome buck out of range across river close to does. Its going to be good action next 2-3 weeks!!!!!

Depends on how much money you want to spend on the scope, you need one with quick adjust turrents(wind and elevation knobs)

Another St. Helena Parish Tom. Sunday the 25th we step out the camp and hear this tom gobbler sounding off about 300 yards from the camp. In St. Helena Parish at my buds came off the Tickfall river. Have done some turkey hunting in the past but never have killed a gobbler. Gobblers starting to hang out together. Heard one crow on thanksgiving morning. Have seen a healthy population in our hunting lease this deer season. Can't wait!!!! Do most people make a blind and hunt or do they try to get as close to the roosting spot??????

Will be hunting all next week throught the weekend at a friends land, just south of Greensburg,La. Was their about 3 weeks ago and the bucks had started pawing the ground. Has rut peak, done or not started there?
