I started this project last year. Put it on the back burner for a while and then got to bainstorming again. I pulled it out from the back of the shop and began tinkering again. I am happy with the finished product. It is pretty cheap to build, most of the materials were just laying around.
I have it set for a 2 second run time which yeilds 3/4 of pound of ricebran. Once the deer find it I.... Read More
I need a little help. My wife expressed to me today that she would like to go Pheasant hunting. I wanted to see if any of you have had any experience with any guides in Louisiana or Mississippi. We want to have a guide and dog for the hunt. If ya'll have any experience good or bad please let me know.Thanks.
I am looking for ideas for a $25 gift. What is the best gift that $25 can buy for the outdoorsman / hunter. We are doing a Dirty Santa gift exchange at work and looking for some ideas. The gift must be between $20 and $25. Lets see what ya'll can come up with. Thanks and Merry Christmas to everyone.
Can anyone recall the bacteria or whatever it was that caused the infections from the people getting pricked by a shrimp. I remember reading about it on here a while back. I want to give a safety moment on it as people will begin fishing more with the warmer weather around the corner. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
I am coming home home from offshore today and can't wait until Friday. I just wanted to tell everyone good luck this weekend and enjoy the nice weather. Hopefully everyone gets something for the freezer. Be careful and were fall protection. .
Can anyone tell me where I can find the rut forecast for this upcoming season. I am trying to make early plans for Area 2. If not when does it come out?
I was wondering how large of a plot I need and when to plant for dove season. I have been seeing quite a few and would like to give it a try this coming season. Also any suggestions on what to plant. Thanks, David J.
I am in need of an obituary from Jan. 25 or 26 Times Picayune. My Grandpa passed while I was offshore. I did get to spend 2.5 hours with him the night before he passed thanks to the Lord blessing us with fog in Venice. I could not fly out Wednesday or Thursday so I able to visit him him Thursday night and he passed Friday around 13:00. If anyone can help me with an Obituary I would greatly.... Read More
I am in the market for a Meat grinder and a Vacuum Sealer. I would like to hear from fellow sportsman. What brand and size grinder do ya'll have? Does your grinder satisfy your needs and would you change anything if you could. Also the same on vacuum sealers. I am leaning towards the Cabela's #22 grinder with 1hp. And I am looking at the Cabela's commercial CG-15 Vacuum Sealer or the Vacuum.... Read More
My dad said he was working under his carport and heard something going clack, clack clack, clack. When he turned around he saw a huge doe and when she saw him she bolted across the rest of his concrete and across the yard staight through an electric fence which is to keep the horses in their pasture. He took these pics and sent them to me to show how big her tracks were. He said she was bigger.... Read More
I just wanted to wish everybody goodluck on the opening day of bow season. I will be working for the first two weeks of October. I can't wait to get out in the woods and sling some arrows. Good luck to all and be safe.
I am currently in the market for a new bow in the $400 - $500 dollar range. I am looking at the Daimond "The Rock" and the Martin "Cheetah". I would like to make my purchase from Cabela's simply because I have $350 in gift certificates. I was wondering if anyone had any input or experience with either of these bows or any other in this range that can be purchased at Cabela's..... Read More
I made a small food plot today and had a little help from my daughter "Emma" and nephew "Snake". They smiled the whole time while we disced up the ground. Trying to get them started early.
I have a 4wd. 35 hp. tractor with front end loader and all implements required to build food plots including a 400lb capacity spreader. If anyone needs a plot made send me an email or call me 985 969 0281. I am at work until July 30 but will be home for two weeks. My tractor is in Hammond, LA. I would rather not travel more than about an hour from there but I will consider it.
I have been on a dry streak for about six years. I just don't see any deer. Well it appears that my luck has changed because out of five times sitting in my stand I have seen 21 deer. I finally had the chance to use my muzzleloader that I have had for two years. I shot this 120 lb doe with it at about 100 yds with my .45 cal CVA Hunterblot Magnum with 150 grains of pyrodex pellets and 195 grain.... Read More
